Standout Arms

Jon Gray vs Braves: $44
What a gross seven-game slate we have tonight. Pitching is a wasteland, so I think it’s best to just chase whatever strikeout upside we can find. My number one option is going to be Gray, as it looks like a little demotion to figure some things out has either helped him find what he was looking for or put a bit of fire in his belly. He’s been excellent lately, with solid outings in four of his last five starts as well as a 15.4% SwStr% over the last month. As far as the skills go, he comes into today with a 3.369 SIERA, 27.1% K%, and a 13.5% SwStr%. Unfortunately, the Braves don’t strikeout a ton and have been an extremely hot offense lately, but that was mainly due to a series with the pathetic Marlins and they most likely will be without their hottest hitter Ronald Acuna, who was hit by a bush league pitch from Urena to start the game yesterday.
