What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – BAL -115
Pitcher Grind Down
CWS – John Danks has put up some great numbers at home this season, but I attribute that to a small sample size more than anything else. Last season his ERA was over 8 at home. He is a risky option tonight against the Orioles that doesn’t have a ton of upside. Avoid
BAL – Jason Hammel has not had anywhere near the season that he had last year. If you remember, he was an All-Star last season and now owns an ERA over 5 and a WHIP of 1.406. That said, I think he is actually in a pretty good spot against the White Sox tonight. He is cheap across the board and offers some good value. In Play
Batter Grind Down
CWS – Alejandro De Aza has been hot lately with 7 hits over his last 4 games. He has some good value against Hammel who is allowing lefties to hit for an OPS of .818. Could we also see an Adam Dunn sighting?
BAL – Orioles that hit lefties well include: J.J. Hardy, Matt Wieters, Manny Machado, Adam Jones, and Chris Davis. Anyone else think Danks could be in trouble tonight?

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.0
- Favored Team – KC -115
Pitcher Grind Down
KC – I swear Luis Mendoza pitches every time I do the Grind Down and every time I say the exact same thing. It’s hard to trust him and why take him unless the matchup is just too good not to? Avoid
CLE – Corey Kluber has actually had 4 decent starts out of his last 5, but he will have to be a little more consistent before I think about taking him. Plus, the Royals strike out less than any team in the league so there isn’t much upside. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
KC – The Royals have found some power lately with Hosmer hitting 3 HR’s in his last 3 games after only having 4 on the entire season. Take a player while he is hot. Salvador Perez is another option I would consider, he has been great at home.
CLE – I can never seem to pick the right Indians bats that are going to have a good game so I will just say that the team as a whole is in a great spot against Mendoza. You can choose which ones to take.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.0
- Favored Team – LAD -160
Pitcher Grind Down
COL – Roy Oswalt has 16 K’s in his first two starts this season, but he also has given up 9 earned runs. Now he has to pitch in Coors Field. Avoid
LAD – Clayton Kershaw is almost always in play. But considering his price and the fact that he has to pitch in Coors Field makes me think that there are better options out there. I think he will still be in line for a win, but this is Coors Field we are talking about. In Play
Batter Grind Down
COL – I am staying away from both Kershaw and the Rockies bats tonight. When you can’t decide which way to go, just avoid the situation completely.
LAD – I love the spot the Dodger’s offense is in tonight. Oswalt is not the pitcher that he used to be and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Dodgers put up 7+ runs by themselves. All of the usual names are in play.

STL vs R | STL BvP | LAA vs R | LAA BvP | ||||||
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.0
- Favored Team – LAA -125
Pitcher Grind Down
LAA – Jered Weaver continues to try to work back to being that pitcher that he has been the last few seasons, but he just hasn’t been able to turn that corner. I don’t think the Cardinals are a team that he is going to be able to turn that corner against. Avoid
STL – Lance Lynn has had a solid season for the Cardinals, but his one weakness has been pitching on the road where he has a 4.72 ERA that is almost double that of his ERA at home. The Angels lineup is inconsistent, but still has a ton of firepower. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
LAA – I actually think the Angels offense will show up in this game tonight. Josh Hamilton has been playing much better lately and seems to be a bit underpriced on most sites. Mike Trout is always in play as well.
STL – Looking at the BvP of this game, the Cardinals have had some good success against Weaver. Beltran has 2 HR’s off of him and is worth a shot in GPP’s

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – OAK -195
Pitcher Grind Down
OAK – Vegas really like A.J. Griffin tonight. The A’s are a great home team and Griffin is a pitcher that has a pretty good K rate. The Cubs offense has been much better recently, but I think it’s still a good spot for Griffin to pick up the win. In Play
CHC – Scott Feldman is rarely ever on my radar and he isn’t on it tonight. Tough matchup and he is a huge underdog. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
OAK – The A’s are a solid hitting team, but with that it is hard to predict which batters are going to have good games. My recommendations would be Jed Lowrie and Yoenis Cespedes.
CHC – I think Griffin pitches well tonight, but if you want to punt the SS position, Starlin Castro is finally starting to heat up.
