Bears vs. Vikings Player Props for MNF
- Jordan Addison o3.5 Receptions
- Josh Dobbs o21.5 Completions
- Alexander Mattison Less Than 42.5 Rushing Yards
Jordan Addison o3.5 Receptions (-130), FanDuel
If there is a good reason that Jordan Addison has his receptions line set at over/under 3.5 tonight, it’s not immediately evident on the surface. Addison has at least four receptions in five of his last seven games. In that span, he has only been targeted fewer than six times in a game once. Only twice has he been targeted fewer than seven times during that stretch of action. Since Week 2, the Bears have allowed at least 21 pass completions to every starting quarterback they have faced not named Brian Hoyer. In recent weeks, the Bears have allowed 8 catches to Amon-Ra St. Brown, 6 catches to Adam Thielen, 6 catches to Chris Olave, 8 catches to Keenan Allen, and 7 catches to Davante Adams. Addison should have every opportunity to get the job done in this spot.
Josh Dobbs o21.5 Completions (-130), FanDuel
In three games with the Vikings this fall, Josh Dobbs ranks 7th in passer rating from a clean pocket, but only 25th in average depth of target in such situations. Acquiring a quarterback via trade mid-season brings certain limitations, such as necessitating a more conservative game plan through the air. These limitations are only heightened when the quarterback is missing his top receiver, Justin Jefferson. Dobbs has completed at least 20 passes in each of his last three games, but is yet to complete a pass of more than 29 yards in that span. The Bears have a poor pass defense, ranking 17th in EPA/play and 24th in success rate since Week 5, making them vulnerable in this matchup. Dobbs is more likely to complete 25 passes tonight than he is to throw for 300 yards, making this the smart way to invest in him on Monday.
NFL DFS Pick’em
Alexander Mattison Less Than 42.5 Rushing Yards, PrizePicks
Since Week 5, Chicago has the best run defense in the entire NFL, ranking 1st in EPA/play and 1st in success rate. During that stretch, they have held Brian Robinson to 10 rushing yards, Alexander Mattison to 44 rushing yards, Josh Jacobs to 35 rushing yards, Austin Ekeler to 29 rushing yards, Alvin Kamara to 26 rushing yards, and Chuba Hubbard to 23 rushing yards. This is a good spot to fade Mattison, who has his line inflated as a result of an 81-yard rushing effort against the Broncos last week. For context, Denver ranks 31st in defensive success rate against the run since Week 5.
