Bengals vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Picks for Today

On October 6th, the Bengals fell to the Ravens in overtime in one of the most exciting offensive games of the season. The teams combined for 79 points and over 700 passing yards. Neither team has modified their approach and continues to score points and allow offense through the air. The Bengals could use a really big win to keep pace in the AFC, while the Ravens hope to hold their grasp on a playoff berth.

Bengals vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Preview

Despite a close game in October, the Ravens are 6-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. The line has not budged much since opening. The betting action has been split down the middle for the Thursday night affair. Cincinnati ran over the Raiders in Week 9, while the Ravens rebounded against the Denver Broncos.

The implied game total is massive. At 53 points, this is easily one of the highest total games we will see throughout the NFL season. ScoresAndOdds reports that nearly 80% of all betting action landed with the over, which helps explain the full point in the movement since opening at 52 points. After 79 points in their last meeting, neither team has shown a capacity to prevent scoring. Points are expected in droves.

Rosters will be a bit different since the two teams met in October. Zack Moss is out for the season with a neck injury. Chase Brown steps in as the bell cow for the Bengals but faces an arduous test against the league leader in yards per rush attempt on defense. Orlando Brown is questionable at left tackle for the Bengals, and Tee Higgins is doubtful. If Higgins can’t go, Andrei Iosivas and Mike Gesicki will continue to be featured. Gesicki has 14 targets over the last 2 games and more than 170 receiving yards.

Isaiah Likely is out with a hamstring injury. Mark Andrews is back on our radar and should see a few extra looks against a bad passing defense. However, the most important piece of the Baltimore Ravens offense, Lamar Jackson, is good to go and will look to lead the Ravens to another division victory against their rivals. Jackson leads the NFL MVP betting odds race at +280 on DraftKings.

While Jackson continues to pile on impressive numbers, Derrick Henry has changed the Baltimore offense. The Ravens lead the NFL in yards per pass attempt and yards per rush attempt. Henry’s re-emergence over the past month as the King of old is a big part of the reason why. Henry leads the NFL in rushing with over 1,000 yards on the ground. He has 11 touchdowns and 12 runs of 20 yards or more. The Bengals kept him in check on October 6th but that could have been more due to the passing games both flourishing. Look for the Ravens to establish the big guy before relying on the passing game.

With all of the offensive accolades, we are looking at two teams that struggle to hold opposing offenses (especially late in games). The Ravens and Bengals rank in the bottom 3rd of the league in scoring defense. The Ravens — giving up 24.3 points per game — allow the most passing yards per game at 280.9 yards per game. Joe Burrow nearly compiled 400 passing yards in the overtime thriller on October 6th. JaMarr Chase caught 10 passes for 193 yards.

The Ravens are going to score a lot of points but will continue to give them up. Burrow — ranked 4th in completion percentage — will look to put Cincinnati on his back for this one.

Let’s comb the props markets for Thursday Night Football and build our same game parlay.

Same Game Parlay Picks for Bengals vs. Ravens

Joe Burrow Over 272.5 Passing Yards

Second games in the division typically point to low-scoring battles — especially in the NFC North. However, these two defenses are not built to slug it out with offenses. The volume of passing allowed by both defenses lends itself to plenty of offense.

Burrow is more likely the beneficiary in a shootout because the Bengals’ points flow through the passing game. The Ravens have more outs with their offense between Henry and the rushing ability of Jackson.

If this game shoots out, Burrow is going to throw for 300 yards.

Derrick Henry Over 91.5 Rushing Yards

The Ravens are going to score points. However, those points don’t have to come through the air. The Ravens established Henry as the focal point of their offense and will continue to do so in this spot.

The Ravens do not want to find themselves in a shootout in a divisional game. They don’t want Burrow to race up and down the field throughout the night. While this number is lofty for Henry, his big-play capability takes chunks off of yardage props in a hurry. Even with Keaton Mitchell potentially returning, Henry is going to be fed at a high volume this evening. Mitchell will likely eat into the workload for Justice Hill.

I think this game still shoots out. However, I think Henry puts together a big performance for the Ravens, and the Bengals need to keep pace through the air.

Ja’Marr Chase Over 83.5 Receiving Yards

Finally, Chase is the last leg of our star-studded parlay. This speaks to the quality of the offense in this game. Chase isn’t the first pick for the SGP, but he certainly cannot be dismissed.

Chase continues to be the main man for Burrow. Without Higgins, Chase is going to receive all of the targets he can handle. The Ravens allow the 2nd-most targets (203) to the wide receiver position. He isn’t accruing the yardage, but the volume is available. The Ravens will give up the yardage we need to cross the finish line with this parlay.
