MLB Player Props Today

Aaron Judge o1.5 total bases (+100), BetMGM

According to props.cash, Aaron Judge has only eclipsed this market number in 8-of-17 games played to begin the new campaign. However, the vast majority of his struggles during the month of April have come against left-handed pitching, against which he is hitless in 11 plate appearances. Facing right-handed pitching, Judge has been outstanding – posting a .314 batting average, 1.047 OPS, .333 ISO, and a 190 wRC+. Today, Judge gets a favorable matchup against Griffin Canning, who owns a 4.39 FIP and a .267 opponent batting average against right-handed batters in his career. The over is a worthwhile risk in this spot.

Bryan Reynolds o1.5 total bases (-145), BetMGM

Bryan Reynolds has not been great against southpaws to begin the new season, but do not let the small sample size from April dissuade you from passing on this look. In 2022, Reynolds had a .273 batting average, .787 OPS, .169 ISO, and a 120 wRC+ against left-handed pitching. Against right-handed batters last year, Austin Gomber had a .495 FIP, .304 opponent batting average, and a 1.51 WHIP. Reynolds’ high-contact approach makes him an excellent fit for Coors Field, especially against a pitcher who struggles to generate swings and misses. Expect a strong performance from Reynolds this afternoon in the altitude.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Yordan Alvarez more than 1.5 total bases, PrizePicks

Entering play on Wednesday, Yordan Alvarez has recorded fewer than two total bases in three consecutive games. This qualifies as a slump for Alvarez, who is one of the truly premier sluggers in Major League Baseball. Tonight, Alvarez has an excellent bounce-back opportunity against Jose Berrios, who had a 5.54 FIP, .298 opponent batting average, and a 1.48 WHIP against left-handed hitters in 2022. Do not be surprised if Alvarez goes yard here.
