NBA Player Props – Suns vs. Nuggets, May 7, 2023

Kevin Durant o44.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115), BetMGM

The recipe for success (or at least attempted success) for the Phoenix Suns is simply self-evident following their Game 3 win – Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are going to have to go above and beyond the call of duty. On Friday night, Durant took an astounding 31 field goal attempts, resulting in 39 points. This was in addition to him grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out eight assists. He played 43 out of a possible 48 minutes. Expect another heavy workload for Durant in Game 4. If he is reasonably efficient from the floor, he should have little trouble hitting the over here.

Devin Booker o44.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120), BetMGM

Following Phoenix’s Game 3 victory, it is painfully obvious that the Suns will only go as far as Devin Booker and Kevin Durant are able to take them. Booker and Durant attempted a combined 56 shot attempts for Phoenix on Friday night, scoring 86 of their 121 points. No other member of the roster took more than nine shots or scored more than seven points. Booker led the team in assists and Durant tied for the team lead in rebounds. Simply, the stars for the Suns will be handed as much responsibility as possible with their season essentially on the line in Game 4. Expect Booker to be a beneficiary of this tremendous workload – take the over.

NBA DFS Pick’em

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope less than 9.5 points, PrizePicks

Earlier in this series, we took Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to score more than his market number for points, citing his strong home shooting percentages from the regular season as a reason to be optimistic. The other side of that coin suggests that we should be pessimistic when he plays basketball on the road. In Game 4, Caldwell-Pope had only two points on four shot attempts in 34 minutes of action. During the regular season, he scored fewer points per game and was far less efficient from the field and the perimeter on the road compared to at home. Expect that to continue on Sunday.
