Jordan Poole o2.5 three-pointers made (+155)

Jordan Poole has attempted at least seven three-pointers in 10 of his last 11 games with Stephen Curry in the lineup, with the lone outlier being a game in which he attempted six shots from beyond-the-arc. Tonight, Poole gets an incredibly favorable matchup against a San Antonio Spurs team that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency at home, allowing 116.6 points per 100 possessions. Playing in their home building, the Spurs also rank top-10 in pace and bottom-five in defending the three-point line, which is likely to afford Poole plenty of opportunity from the perimeter on Friday. It would be more than a little bit surprising to see Poole have less than seven shot attempts from deep this evening – at significant plus-money, this is unquestionably a worthwhile risk for bettors.

Klay Thompson o21.5 points (-115)

Similar to his teammate, Klay Thompson has a dream matchup this evening against the San Antonio Spurs – a team that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency, 10th in pace, and 27th in opponent three-point percentage during the first half of the NBA campaign. Entering play, Thompson has attempted at least 10 shots from beyond-the-arc in six consecutive contests. In that span, he has not attempted fewer than 22 shots from the field in any individual game, even with Stephen Curry returning to the floor earlier this week against the Phoenix Suns. Admittedly, it is not the most analytical statement in the world, but Thompson is in a zone right now with his shot. Expect him to have strong volume once again on Friday, and for him to have a great opportunity to cash the over for bettors in this spot.

Mikal Bridges o16.5 points (-110)

Though Deandre Ayton has been upgraded to questionable for Friday’s tilt against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Cameron Payne, Jae Crowder, Cameron Johnson, and Landry Shamet remain out. Bridges has seen consistently high volume of late, with double-digit shot attempts in each of his six games played since the calendar flipped to 2023. In that span, he has struggled with his efficiency, shooting only 39.2% from the floor and 33.3% from beyond-the-arc. In a matchup against the defensively-challenged Timberwolves, there is reason to believe that Bridges, a career 50.0% shooter from the field, finds a way to eclipse this market number – regardless of whether or not Ayton is in uniform. Playing at home this year, Minnesota ranks 20th in defensive efficiency and second in pace, creating an environment in which Bridges’ volume is likely to lead to a strong performance.
