NBA Player Props, January 9, 2023
- Mitchell Robinson o7.5 points
- Jaylen Brown o26.5 points
- Daniel Gafford o10.5 points
Mitchell Robinson o7.5 points (-120)
Per CourtIQ, Mitchell Robinson is averaging 9.5 points per 36 minutes of action this season when R.J. Barrett is not on the floor. Since Barrett last played, Robinson has scored in double-figures three times in six games, with foul trouble being his main impediment to success. Tonight, he gets a matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks – a team that ranks 25th in opponent field goal attempts in the paint this season. Robinson is not typically thought of as a player who bettors want to wager on for a points prop, but he is likely to eclipse this market number on Monday if two criteria are met – 1) stay out of foul trouble; 2) R.J. Barrett does not surprisingly suit-up.
H3. Jaylen Brown o26.5 points (-122)
Jaylen Brown has been far too good to us in recent weeks for us to even contemplate letting him take the floor without betting the over on his points prop. Per props.cash, Brown has eclipsed this number in 7-of-8 games since December 24, with his lone miss coming in a blowout game script against the Dallas Mavericks – a game in which he attempted a season-low 12 shot attempts. Tonight, Brown gets an incredibly favorable matchup against a Chicago Bulls team that ranks 20th in the NBA in defensive efficiency, 26th in opponent three-point attempts, and 29th in opponent three-point percentage. Take the over and live with the result here.
Daniel Gafford o10.5 points (-125)
Entering play, Daniel Gafford has scored 11 points or more in five consecutive games and has scored in double-figures in 13-of-18 games since December 1. In that span, he has seen a steady increase in his role, and has now played at least 25 minutes in each of his last five trips to the hardwood. Tonight, Gafford gets a favorable matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, a team that is missing both Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson from the lineup. Expect another strong offensive performance from Gafford in this spot, assuming he continues to see north of 24 minutes of playing time.
