NBA Player Props – Knicks vs. Heat, May 8, 2023
- Bam Adebayo o7.5 rebounds
- Julius Randle o8.5 rebounds
- Julius Randle less than 23.5 points
Bam Adebayo o7.5 rebounds (-140), FanDuel
There is little justification for this market number being set at 7.5 ahead of tip-off in Game 4. Entering play on Monday night, Adebayo has eclipsed this market number in nine of his 10 postseason games to begin this year’s playoffs, including each of the first three games of this series against the New York Knicks. The Miami Heat are thin on the glass, which leaves Adebayo as one of the only legitimate rebounding options for the Heat on a nightly basis, especially if Kevin Love sees his minutes reduced at all. Take the over here.
Julius Randle o8.5 rebounds (-155), BetMGM
In two games played to begin this series, Julius Randle has been a monster on the boards, securing a dozen rebounds in Game 2 and 14 rebounds in Game 3. The Miami Heat are very thin in the frontcourt when it comes to rebounding, which gives Randle and the rest of the New York Knicks a major advantage in this area of the game. There is some risk that Randle could see his minutes cut if he continues to struggle with his shot, but there is enough margin for error here to still fire on the over.
NBA DFS Pick’em
Julius Randle less than 23.5 points, PrizePicks
Simply, this is an odd market number for Julius Randle in Game 4, considering his inefficient performance so far this postseason. Against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Randle averaged only 14.4 points per game on 33.8% shooting from the floor. Randle had a strong Game 2 showing against the Miami Heat with 25 points, but he still shot only 44.4% from the field. On Saturday in Game 3, he had only 10 points on 4-for-15 shooting from the field. Approaching this from a probability standpoint, Randle will score less than 23.5 points in this matchup far more often than he will score more than 23.5 points.
