NBA Player Props, February 26, 2023
- Lu Dort o19.5 points + assists
- Mikal Bridges o4.5 rebounds
- Rudy Gobert o11.5 rebounds
Lu Dort o19.5 points + assists (-120), FanDuel
In 52 games played this season, Lu Dort has only eclipsed this market number 15 times. However, he has eclipsed this number in four of five games this year when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in street clothes. Dort’s lone miss in those five contests came this past Friday against the Phoenix Suns, a game in which he shot only 5-for-17 from the field. On Sunday, he gets a much more favorable matchup against the Sacramento Kings, which rank 24th in defensive efficiency and 30th in opponent assists per game across the last month, compared to the Suns, which rank sixth in defensive efficiency and eighth in opponent assists per game in that span. Per CourtIQ, Dort is averaging 23.2 points and 2.9 assists per 36 minutes of action this season with Gilgeous-Alexander on the sidelines. The over makes a ton of sense in this spot.
Mikal Bridges o4.5 rebounds (-140), PointsBet
Since joining the Brooklyn Nets, Mikal Bridges has eclipsed this market number in each of his four games played. In that span, he is averaging a healthy 10.0 rebound chances per game, which ranks second on the team to Nic Claxton. Bridges had 10 rebound chances against the 76ers, nine rebound chances against the Knicks, 14 rebound chances against the Heat, and seven rebound chances against the Bulls. Only the last game log has Bridges’ opportunity volume been at a lower mark than we would like. The Atlanta Hawks are not a particularly easy matchup, but neither are they prohibitive – ranking 12th in opponent rebounds per game across the last month. The over is a worthwhile risk here.
Rudy Gobert o11.5 rebounds (-120), BetMGM
Dating back to December 19, 2018, Rudy Gobert has eclipsed this market number in 12 of his 13 matchups against the Golden State Warriors franchise, with his lone miss being a 10 rebound performance this past November. Gobert’s rebound numbers had been steadily declining throughout the season, but he has reemerged as a key cog in the rotation since the trade of Mike Conley, having played at least 30 minutes in each of the last four contests for the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that span, he has four double-doubles, and is averaging 22.8 rebound chances per game, which ranks fourth-best in the NBA during that stretch. Gobert’s minutes fluctuate more than bettors would like, but he will unquestionably have a tremendous advantage on the glass today against a Golden State Warriors team that ranks 21st in rebound percentage and 18th in opponent rebounds per game across the last 30 days. Take a small stab on the over here.
