Quarterback Quick Hits
- #1 – Drew Brees – (DAL@NO) this game has shootout written all over it. The fact that he is at home makes Brees my #1 guy this week
- #2 – Russell Wilson – (SEA@ATL) For some reason they just aren’t feeding Lynch inside the 5 yard line right now. Maybe it has something to do with the bird-flipping incident. Whatever the reason though, it certainly benefits Wilson. This matchup is prime for the Hawks
- #3 – Nick Foles – (PHI@GB) He has looked good so far as the starter outside of the injury game against Dallas. My gut tells me that playing from behind might create some decent fantasy stats for Foles
- #4 – Philip Rivers – (DEN@SD) Love the game for Rivers, but the price is getting up there on FD. Still should be good for 300+ and 2+TD’s in this type of a game.
- #5 – Andrew Luck – (STL@IND) 1 person you won’t see on this page, ever again probably, is Trent Richardson. That means that the offense is squarely on Luck. With a sweet matchup like this I don’t see any reason for him to not produce like a top 5 guy this week.
- #6 – Matthew Stafford – (DET@CHI) I hate that he is now a top 3 salary QB, but I love this matchup for him. Calvin is beasting right now and when things are covered over there then Reggie Bush (mentioned later) will be a great check down target to take it to the house. His other wr’s should also be better with gimpy Broyles out for the year.
- #7 – Tony Romo – (DAL@NO) As stated with Drew Brees, this game has the makings of a serious shootout. The Cowboys do not lack for offense and when backed against the wall of a shootout I love my chances with Romo throwing to 3 top targets now.
- #8 – Peyton Manning – (DEN@SD) This is a crazy price. But obviously he is worth it for his floor stat line in cash games. The 1 thing that pushes him down this far is the threat of a run game that Brees doesn’t have to worry about.
- #9 – Robert Griffin III – (WAS@MIN) Well this guy has burnt me 2 weeks in a row and looks lost in fantasy. Just when you think that though is when a guy snaps out. I expect RG3 to snap out soon and at this price with this matchup I am playing him heavy in GPP’s, but avoiding in cash games.
- #10 – Eli Manning – (Oak@NYG) This spot was reserved for Aaron Rodgers until we found out he was done for a while with injury. So out he goes and in comes Manning against a team that Foles just torched for 7 TD’s. Well worth a roster spot at this cheap price.

Chop’s Top-10 Running Backs on Fanduel This Week
| 1 | Reggie Bush | $8500 | 2 | Eddie Lacy | $6800 | 3 | Alfred Morris | $7500 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| | | ||||||
| 4 | DeMarco Murray | $7100 | 5 | Adrian Peterson | $9900 | 6 | Knowshon Moreno | $8400 |
| | | ||||||
| 7 | Zac Stacy | $7500 | 8 | Matt Forte | $9000 | 9 | Chris Johnson | $8000 |
| | | ||||||
| 10 | LeSean McCoy | $8600 | ||||||
| ||||||||
Running Back Quick Hits
- #1 – Reggie Bush – (DET@CHI) Bush is the type of RB that gives the Bears fits. His 173 yards and 1 TD in week 4 against them was no fluke. The Bears do a good job at taking away Calvin, and that leaves Reggie to prosper
- #2 – Eddie Lacy – (PHI@GB) Kid is becoming a beast. I think it has more to do with the great offensive line in GB, but the stats are all the same for Lacy. Oddly enough, the price still hasn’t moved.
- #3 – Alfred Morris – (WAS@MIN) Morris will run all over the Vikings. There are 0 fears here of Helu vulturing any carries in this one…
- #4 – DeMarco Murray – (DAL@NO) Murray had a nice warm up game against the Vikes this past week and now his snaps and carries will go way up. I am expecting an attempt to run the ball for Dallas and when they fall behind he is the check down king. He’ll get the yards and if he muscles into the end zone he will have a great fantasy day.
- #5 – Adrian Peterson – (WAS@MIN) The ability is still there for AP. The matchup is good. The price is way expensive and that’s what lands him in the middle here. He is one of the rare backs though that can carry your team this week.
- #6 – Knowshon Moreno – (DEN@SD) He’s a top 3 scoring fantasy RB on FD with the 7th highest salary. He has become a solid cash game back for his reliability and a solid GPP back for that 3 TD explosiveness.
- #7 – Zac Stacy – (STL@IND) A nice price adjustment to get him at $7,500 by FD. That’s where he belongs. He is the bell cow of this offense. Damn shame that Bradford got hurt right when this kid got the starting job because this offense could have been very potent. He’ll get all the touches and goal line carries. Great fantasy back right now
- #8 – Matt Forte – (DET@CHI) Forte is another workhorse back who stays on the field an awful lot for the Bears. You love these types of guys as a fantasy owner. Good matchup, at home and he is the highest scoring RB going this week by FD measurements
- #9 – Chris Johnson – (JAC@TEN) This is a strict GPP play. I would not recommend this guy in a cash game. I really think there is a chance he falls on his face even with the good matchup.
- #10 – LeSean McCoy – (PHI@GB) I’d love to rank Shady higher, but he is just struggling to get it done in the running game lately. He makes up for it with his pass catching ability.

Chop’s Top-10 Wide Receivers on Fanduel This Week
| 1 | T.Y. Hilton | $6000 | 2 | Demaryius Thomas | $8300 | 3 | Pierre Garcon | $7400 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| | | ||||||
| 4 | Calvin Johnson | $9900 | 5 | Dez Bryant | $8200 | 6 | Keenan Allen | $7100 |
| | | ||||||
| 7 | Eric Decker | $6200 | 8 | Jordy Nelson | $7800 | 9 | Brandon Marshall | $8200 |
| | | ||||||
| 10 | James Jones | $6200 | ||||||
| ||||||||
Wide Receiver Quick Hits
- #1 – T.Y. Hilton – (STL@IND) It appears that TY is going to be the main beneficiary of “Reggie Wayne(player-profile)”:/players/Reggie_Wayne-12153’s loss. His price didn’t move despite a great game against Houston and that makes him the no brainer #1 guy at WR for me
- #2 – Demaryius Thomas – (DEN@SD) Such a stud WR that has such lapses in stats because of the other weapons in the offense. But the price is looking nice this week and the matchup couldn’t be any better in my opinion.
- #3 – Pierre Garcon – (WAS@MIN) He followed up 1 couple of lousy games with a monster last week. He just didn’t get in the end zone. However I think that could change this week as I don’t think RG3 gets shut out and Garcon should be the first option on the other end of 1 of those TD passes.
- #4 – Calvin Johnson – (DET@CHI) Calvin is the best WR in the game and he falls to 4 here because of the recent success the Bears have had against him. Take it for what it worth, as he could still explode.
- #5 – Dez Bryant – (DAL@NO) Dez is such a tease. He has these clunkers when you expect big games. But he is too good to pass on in this matchup. I think the Saints pass defense ranking is a sham and will be put to the test in this game
- #6 – Keenan Allen – (DEN@SD) Keenan gets a bump in salary this week and it was the right thing to do for FD. Kid looks great out there and this could be some nice stats in catch up mode for Allen and the Chargers.
- #7 – Eric Decker – (DEN@SD) Decker makes the list instead of Welker here due to the large gap in price difference.
- #8 – Jordy Nelson – (PHI@GB) He is a stud, and the matchup is great. He falls slightly because of the same factors that I mentioned with AROD. Lacy and the running game are going to vulture a handful of TD’s from them. James Jones should be back healthy for this game and thus Jordy falls slightly. Still a solid play though.
- #9 – Brandon Marshall – (DET@CHI) Price is not too shabby at $8,200 here and he always has the potential to kill it.
- #10 – James Jones – (PHI@GB) I think this is going to be a solid week for JJ to make some waves in the offense. He is underpriced, in my opinion, on FD and if he is healthy he can torch this secondary
Edit- both GB WR’s take a hit this week with AROD being out. Downgrade them

Chop’s Top-5 Tight Ends on Fanduel This Week
| 1 | Jimmy Graham | $8700 | 2 | Coby Fleener | $5400 | 3 | Antonio Gates | $5600 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| | | ||||||
| 4 | Jordan Reed | $5400 | 5 | Vernon Davis | $6900 | |||
| | |||||||
Tight End Quick Hits
- #1 – Jimmy Graham – (DAL@NO) the only tough thing about Graham is this price. He should have a good game.
- #2 – Coby Fleener – (STL@IND) TY isn’t the only one needed to make up for Reggie Wayne loss
- #3 – Antonio Gates – (DEN@SD) I expected more against the Skins, but maybe he saves it for his nemesis, the broncos.
- #4 – Jordan Reed – (WAS@MIN) Had a couple great games in a row and stunk it up last week. Price is still ridiculously low on him though
- #5 – Vernon Davis – (CAR@SF) Tough matchup but a stud TE. He falls to #5 here due to that matchup but he has the ability to make big plays and pay off the salary with one long TD.
