Sunday, November 5th

Hello Grinders. We have a large NBA slate this Sunday, with two early games and then an eight game main slate. For our purposes, we’re only going to focus on the main slate.

I’ll do my best to update the article as news breaks. I’m writing this on very early Sunday morning, so some players still have questionable tags. Let’s do a quick run-down of some news and notes:

1. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (out) – With MKG out, it’s possible we see Dwayne Bacon start. Sizzle sizzle.
2. Andrew Bogut (questionable)
3. C.J. Miles (questionable)
4. John Wall (questionable) – If Wall is out, that’s a big bump to Bradley Beal. It would also thrust Tim Frazier and Tomas Satoransky into more minutes.
5. T.J. Warren (questionable) – Warren left Friday’s game after bonking heads with Enes Kanter. The bigger concern here is that Warren has had head issues in the past. If he’s out, Josh Jackson would likely start and it’d be a bump to Devin Booker’s usage, although it’s a tough matchup against the Spurs.
6. Elfrid Payton (questionable) – If Payton is out, ball handling duties would fall on Shelvin Mack (MACK ATTACK!!!), Jonathon “Don’t Call Me Jonathan” Simmons, and Evan Fournier.
7. Kristaps Porzingis (probable)
8. T.J. Leaf (out)

As you can see, there’s a lot of “what ifs” to deal with given this injury news. I’m going to focus on three core plays based on the news we have so far, and will update it as needed.
