Heat vs. Nuggets NBA Same Game Parlay Picks – Game 2
- Jimmy Butler 30+ points
- Nikola Jokic 30+ points
- Max Strus 3+ three-pointers made
Jimmy Butler 30+ points (+175)
Assuming Jimmy Butler is healthy enough to see 40-plus minutes tonight, there is little reason to think that he is not capable of hitting this points scored threshold. Entering play on Sunday, Butler has five 30-point performances during these playoffs, but numerous games in the high 20s. Denver is an underrated defensive team, but they are still far from elite on this end of the floor. Having an extra three days to acclimate his body to the intense altitude in Denver, Butler should be in great shape to deliver a legacy-defining showing in Game 2.
Nikola Jokic 30+ points (+130)
In the series opener, Nikola Jokc scored 27 points on only 12 field goal attempts. Jokic had seven 30-point performances during the first three rounds of the postseason, proving to himself and to the betting community that he is capable od delivering an abundance of points any time he takes the floor. Facing an elite coach in Erik Spoelstra, it is likely that Miami makes defensive adjustments for Game 2 to help slow down the impact of Jamal Murray and other supporting members of the Denver offense. As a result, the Nuggets might need Jokic to be slightly more aggressive tonight than he was in Game 1 – take the alt-over here.
Max Strus 3+ three-pointers made (+170)
According to NBA advanced stats, Max Strus had five three-point attempts in Game 1 in which he was “wide open” – defined as not having a defender within six feet of him on his shot release. Strus missed all five of those opportunities, in addition to his other five attempts from the field. In total, Strus was 0-for-10 from the field overall and 0-for-9 from distance. Heading into Game 2, it is likely that Denver gives Strus plenty of space once again, forcing him to prove himself as a capable contributor for the Miami Heat before he warrants any extra defensive attention. Do not be surprised if he has a nice bounce-back game on Sunday.
