Pitchers
- Home Justin Masterson has been a beast so far this season. He is 3-0 with only 1 earned run and 20 strikeouts. He always seems to pitch well at the beginning of the year. The Red Sox bats are hot though so either Masterson or Boston has to cool down. I think it will be somewhere in between, but he still has great value on a site like DS where he isn’t too expensive.
- Away Alfredo Aceves is a pitcher that can get you strikeouts, but he can also blow up and give up a ton of runs. He is better suited as a reliever. I’m avoiding him today.
Batters
- Home The Indians bats could come alive today against Aceves. He is not a pitcher that I am too high on and I think they could jump on him early. Mark Reynolds and Nick Swisher are my targets in this one.
- Away The Red Sox are really playing good ball which is a bit surprising. They have a tough matchup against Masterson though who has only allowed one earned run all season. I’m staying away from the overpriced Sox today.

Pitchers
- Home J.A. Happ is a guy that has always pitched better at home, but he is also a guy that is very inconsistent. I’m not crazy about him against the White Sox today. Much better options on the board.
- Away Jose Quintana got blown up in his first start and then dominated in his second start. Tough matchup on the road against the Blue Jays. I will pass until he can show me some consistency.
Batters
- Home Edwin Encarnacion is a guy that I am really high on today. He has a much higher OPS against lefties than he does against right handers and he is starting to heat up with 6 hits in his last 3 games.
- Away You never know which Happ you are going to get, but I do like a couple of White Sox hitters today. Paul Konerko is swinging a hot bat and should have some success. Dayan Viciedo is another option that could really help your team out tonight. He is a boom or bust type of player and is really cheap. He is good against lefties too.

Pitchers
- Home Mike Leake has not looked good this year, but I have faith that he will rebound and put up similar numbers to those of last year. I think this could be a solid bounce back game for him against the Phillies. He is so cheap too that he really has some good value.
- Away John Lannan is never a pitcher that I like to take. Doesn’t strikeout a lot of batters and is the underdog in most of his starts. I will pass.
Batters
- Home The Reds have a lot of left handed hitters, so you may want to avoid the lefty/lefty matchups for Votto, Choo, and Bruce. Brandon Phillips and Zack Cozart are certainly in play though.
- Away Like I said, I think Leake has a decent game today, but Ryan Howard does have solid BvP numbers against him. He is 6/12 with a couple of HR’s.

Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Washington -152
Pitchers
- Home Ricky Nolasco is a pitcher that I usually tend to stay away from unless he has a great matchup. The Nationals are not that great matchup though, so I will pass as usual.
- Away I like the matchup for Ross Detwiler, but the problem with taking him is that if he allows a couple of runs, you are in big trouble because he is not a pitcher that makes up for his mistakes with strikeouts.
Batters
- Home Placido Polanco and Justin Ruggiano both hit lefties well. I think they are in play just because they are so cheap.
- Away The Nationals batters have not found much success against Nolasco in the past and this isn’t likely going to be a very high scoring game. Save your money for the other games.
