What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9
- Favored Team – MIN -114
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Kyle Gibson will have his pitches and IPs monitored. This is his first MLB start but the rookie is coming back from Tommy John surgery. He is a big time prospect but I do not trust rookies in general in their first start and this one seems shaky on top of that. I bet he only goes 5 IP no matter what the outcome is. KAN is batting .264 on the road, .251 versus right-handers, and .254 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 1
- Away Wade Davis has quietly run off for quality starts in a row. In 2 starts against MIN on the year, he has surrender 0 ER in 10 IP with 12 Ks and he is facing a rookie so he should get the win today even if Vegas does not think so. MIN is batting .266 at home, .243 versus right-handers, and .255 over the last 7 days. RG Start-ability 5
Batter Grind Down
- Home It seems like Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer have positive BvPs versus every right-hander they see. They do again today. Do not forget about Clete Thomas. He is cheap and batting lead-off.
- Away I trust the veteran KAN bats to take advantage of the rookie. Consider everyone playable but target the left-handed bats. Alex Gordon is heating up and is cheap after his first half slump. He was one of the best OF in baseball last year with speed and power.

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9
- Favored Team – LAA -136
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Jordan Lyles is pitching fantastic baseball. I know he pitches for the Astros and LAA is a stout LU but I would think twice about loading up on Angels’ bats today. LAA is batting .249 on the road, .277 versus right-handers, and .255 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 4
- Away Joe Blanton draws the Astros. He is player I would probably tell you to avoid every other time he takes the hill but today he could get you 10 Ks because that’s how bad they are. HOU is batting .236 at home, .230 verus right-handers, and .216 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home Chris Carter has 2 HRs versus Blanton in 6 AB and has been HOU most productive player.
- Away If you think I am wrong about Lyles then consider everyone playable. Hamiliton has the best BvPs versus him and Mike Trout has reached autoplay status and is worth a look no matter who he is facing. RG Stack Rating 5

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9
- Favored Team – CLE -118
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Dylan Axelrod has surrendered 20 hits in his last 2 starts. He is already not a high K player the last thing you need if you take him is for him to be throwing over 100 pitches in 5 IP. CLE is batting .262 on the road, .255 versus right-handers and .297 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 2
- Away Call me crazy but I think this is a good spot to take Ubaldo Jimenez. He has been great on the road with a 2.84 ERA and he is a K per IP pitcher so he has upside. CHW has been horrible offensively all year and it looks to me that CLE will pound Axelrod so he should get the W. CHW is batting .237 at home, .249 versus right-handers, and .278 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home Gordon Beckham is 5-13 versus Jimenez with 1 HR. De Aza, Konerko, Viciedo, and Ramirez have positive BvPs as well. Adam Dunn has been super hot producing 31.25 fp over the last 7 days. RG Stack Rating 3
- Away CLE is heating up again and the face a struggling pitcher so that makes everyone playable. Jason Kipnis has 60.75 fp over the last 7 days. He is the best second baseman in baseball and is playable everyday. Drew Stubbs has also been hot with 21.5 fp over the last 7. RG Stack Rating 7
