What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9
- Favored Team – DET -200
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Rick Porcello was the flavor of the month for May. He has disappointed on the year but we are all believing in him again here in July after he has managed to post a 1.35 ERA over 3 starts in the month. I think the ride ends today and I fully expect a bad outing from him. I point to 2 things his 5.30 ERA at home and his .304 BAA versus left-handers. 2 of those 3 great starts came on the road and the other 1 was against a very poor CHW team. PHI is batting .256 on the road, .258 versus right-handers and .191 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 5
- Away Jonathan Pettibone has 5.62 ERA and .309 BAA on the road. That is not the numbers you want to carry with you into DET. DET is batting .300 at home, .284 versus right-handers, and .284 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 2
Batter Grind Down
- Home Pettibone is allowing left-handers to bat .301 versus him so the lefties are your best plays but the splits suggest that everyone is playable. RG Stack Rating 7
- Away PHI best bats are left-handed so play Chase Utleu, Domonic Brown, and Ryan Howard. Delmon Young is 8-22 with 1 HR versus Porcello. Michael Young is 5-13 versus him as well. RG Stack Rating 4

What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – TAM -150
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Phil Hughes is like a not as good Tim Lincecum to me. Scary right? I say this because he is likewise erratic. He could give you a great start one day and then get completely hammered by a team like MIN the next. The OU of this game is low so Vegas expects him to pitch well but TAM is a very patient team and I do not like his odds of outpitching Matt Moore versus them. TAM is batting .259 on the road, .249 versus right-handers, and .270 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 4
- Away Do you remember earlier in the year when Matt Moore completely destroyed this NYY team in NYY. The left-hander has been jus as good in July as he was in April and NYY is nowhere near as good now as they were then. NYY is batting .244 at home, .235 versus left-handers, and .235 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 9
Batter Grind Down
- Home If you are playing the fade then I would take Alfonso Soriano because he hits left-handers very well. Suzuki and Cano both have positive BvPs versus Moore. RG Stack Rating 1
- Away Matt Joyce is 5-13 with 2 HRs versus Hughes. Luke Scott is 8-16 versus him as well. James Loney has been producing over the last 7 days and he hits right-handers for a high average. RG Stack Rating 5

TEX vs R | TEX BvP | CLE vs R | CLE BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.5
- Favored Team – Pick’em
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Ubaldo Jimenez has been reliable over the last 2 months. He has run into problems at home on the year with a 6.09 home ERA but his one start on the year versus TEX went well. He went 5 IP with 1 ER and 4 Ks. The reason why I do not think he is playable worth TEX is because he never seems to make it past the 6th inning or even through the 6th inning so his upside is capped. TEX is batting .254 on the road, .262 versus right-handers, and .254 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 4
- Away Alex Ogando was limited to 80 pitches in his first start back from a shoulder injury. Most likely, he will pitch around the same amount today so his upside is limited and he did not look to sharp in his last outing anyway. CLE is batting .254 at home, .253 versus left-handers, and .264 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 3
Batter Grind Down
- Home Ogando is allowing right-handers to bat .294 versus him on the season so that makes everyone playable to me. Asdrubal Cabrera and Michael Bourn have both been hot for CLE. RG Stack Rating 5
- Away Andrian Beltre is 6-14 with 1 HR versus Jimenez . Ian Kinsler is 4-11 versus him as well. Elvis Andrus has been hot with 20 fp over the last 7 days. RG Stack Rating 4

HOU vs R | HOU BvP | TOR vs R | TOR BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.5
- Favored Team – TOR -170
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Todd Redmond threw 100 pitches in his last start which makes him playable. His K/9 is 8.06 on the season and he should get a boost from a HOU team that leads the league in striking out. There is high upside in the play and his salary is very low so he as close to a must play as you can get on a multiple pitcher site. HOU is batting .242 on the road, .230 versus right-handers, and .212 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 8
- Away Jarred Cosart first 2 starts have been great and they were against 2 solid opponents in TAM and OAK. He will get another stout test today versus a TOR team that is deadly at home. The biggest problem with the kid can be in his last start He went 7 IP with 1 ER and did not get the win. TOR is batting .264 at home, .254 versus right-handers, and .286 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 4
Batter Grind Down
- Home I think TOR welcomes this kid to the major the proper way today. I like the hot bats of Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Reyes, and Edwin Encarnacion. Adam Lind is still hitting right-handers at a high clip. RG Stack Rating 5
- Away Even after an offensive explosion yesterday, HOU is only batting .212 over the last 7 days. Play at your own risk. RG Stack Rating 2

PIT vs R | PIT BvP | MIA vs R | MIA BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 6.5
- Favored Team – PIT -115
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Jose Fernandez has been sick at home. To put it in perspective, his numbers are better than Chris Sale, Clayton Kershaw, and Felix Hernandez. His home ERA is a very low 1.47 with a .177 BAA and he is averaging a K per inning. PIT is batting .241 on the road, .242 versus right-handers, and .246 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 9
- Away Gerrit Cole is listed as the favorite in this one but I am not sure why. He has been good in his first starts in the majors but he is by no means a dominant pitcher right now and MIA’s offense is coming to life. MIA is batting .236 at home, .234 versus right-handers, and .242 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home Giancario Stanton has been hot with 32.25 fp over the last week. The OU of this game is incredibly low so it is probably best to look elsewhere for your bats. RG Stack Rating 2
- Away Pedro Alvarez is hot over the last 7 days with 20 fp and is known for his daytime heroics. RG Stack Rating 1

CIN vs. LAD
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.5
- Favored Team – CIN -115
Pitcher Grind Down
- Home Chris Capuano has not been good on the year and he has been especially bad versus right-handed hitters with a .308 BAA. His home ERA is 6.91 but LAD is a pitcher’s park so that number is probably not going to stay that high but no need to gamble on a pitcher with limited K/9 ability until he starts proving that he can pitch well. CIN is batting .251 on the road, .251 versus left-handers, and .277 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 3
- Away I am not sure what to think about Tony Cingrani today. I know he has great upside and will be throwing in a pitcher friendly park. His numbers do not take that much of a dip on the road but he is also facing a red hot LAD team so the potential for disaster is also there. LAD is batting .257 at home, .266 versus left-handers, and .322 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 6
Batter Grind Down
- Home Yasiel Puig and Hanley Ramirez are hitting left-handers a t a very high average. Both have been very hot over the last 7 days. RG Stack Rating 4
- Away Brandon Phillips is 14-32 with 1 HR versus Capuano. Todd Frazier is hot producing 24 fp over the last week, These 2 right-handers are your best plays. You can feel comfortable taking a super hot Jay Bruce with 38.25 fp over the last week and a hot Joey Votto with 20.5 fp because the two left-handers hit lefties very well. Actually, the have a higher BAA versus left-handers than Phillips and Frazier. RG Stack Rating 6
