What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 7.0
- Favored Team – WAS -150
Pitcher Grind Down
WAS – You can’t argue with Jordan Zimmerman’s numbers on the season. 2.26 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. Sure he doesn’t strike out as many batters as some of the other aces, but he is usually a bit cheaper so that usually offsets it. I like the matchup tonight against Arizona. Zimmerman has always pitched well at home and he is a pretty large favorite. Target
ARI – Wade Miley has had a very disappointing season and that 1.455 WHIP is just way too high for me. The Nats don’t have the best offense but I am siding with them in this one. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
WAS – Ian Desmond has been good against lefties this season batting .308 with 7 extra base hits. Ryan Zimmerman also hits lefties well at a .293 clip. Both are great options against Miley.
ARI – Martin Prado and Miguel Montero have both had success against Zimmerman, but the sample size is very small and I think Zimmerman really puts together a solid game. I’m staying away from all D-Backs.

LAA vs L | LAA BvP | DET vs R | DET BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.5
- Favored Team – DET -150
Pitcher Grind Down
DET – I think we can expect another high scoring game from these two teams which usually doesn’t bode too well for the pitchers. Jose Alvarez has been pretty good in his first two starts, but this Angels lineup is stacked. Avoid
LAA – One of my rules when selecting pitchers is to stay away from pitchers that are facing the Tigers, especially when the game is in Detroit. Sorry Tommy Hanson, nothing personal. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
DET – Both teams have some good plays today on offense. Miguel Cabrera is in play if you can afford him and I think this is a good spot for Victor Martinez. He is still cheap on almost all sites and has been picking it up lately.
LAA – Mike Trout just keeps on trucking and he is starting to get into the same boat as Miggy where if you can afford him, you should try to get him in your lineup. I also think Howie Kendrick could have a solid game against the lefty as he is batting .333 against lefties this season.

CLE vs R | CLE BvP | BAL vs L | BAL BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.5
- Favored Team – BAL -145
Pitcher Grind Down
BAL – Jason Hammel hasn’t been great this season, he also doesn’t have one of the better matchups on the board. He is a decent sized favorite, but high scoring games are tough to take pitchers from. I think it’s safe to avoid him. Avoid
CLE – Scott Kazmir has been very inconsistent this season. He started off the season hot, quickly cooled off and then put up a huge performance against the Twins in his last start. Too many things not to like with Kazmir today, especially the matchup. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
BAL – The Orioles offense keeps on rolling. Chris Davis has been crushing everything in sight and is actually still in play today even though it is a lefty lefty matchup. But the real players to target in this one are J.J. Hardy and Matt Wieters, both are considerably better against lefties than righties.
CLE – My thoughts on the Indians are if you can take them for cheap, then why not take a shot because it’s an offense that can certainly put up a ton of runs. Just don’t overpay for them.

TEX vs L | TEX BvP | NYY vs R | NYY BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 9.0
- Favored Team – NYY -135
Pitcher Grind Down
NYY – Andy Pettite has really only had one good start out of his last five and he is trending in the wrong direction. When it comes to pitchers, I would much rather take one that has been pitching well instead of hoping for a turnaround game. Tough matchup too. Avoid
TEX – Justin Grimm is a high strikeout pitcher, but that is about the only thing he does well. He has really struggled on the road this season with an ERA over 7. Don’t overthink this one. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
NYY – I think this is one of the best spots for Robinson Cano that he has been in in a while. Cano is crushing righties like he always does and I have a feeling that he is going to crush a fastball over the fence. The other left hand bats of the Yankees are also in play.
TEX – Nelson Cruz and Ian Kinsler both love facing lefties and even though their BvP against Pettite isn’t great, they are facing a struggling lefty in a hitter’s park.

CHC vs R | CHC BvP | MIL vs R | MIL BvP
What Vegas Says
- Over/Under Total Runs – 8.0
- Favored Team – MIL -140
Pitcher Grind Down
MIL – We’ve been waiting for it all season and Yovani Gallardo finally came through. He now has had three great starts in a row in which he hasn’t allowed 1 earned run over 21 innings while striking out 15 batters. Love the matchup against the Cubs. I wouldn’t pay top dollar for him, but if he is in the middle tier, he is a great option. In Play
CHC – Scott Feldman has had a very nice season, but Milwaukee is a tough place to pitch and Vegas doesn’t have too much faith in him. Feldman has been much worse on the road and I don’t see him pitching well tonight. Avoid
Batter Grind Down
MIL – Rickie Weeks has been swinging a hot bat lately and is still pretty cheap across the board. I also like the bats in the one and two spots in the lineup in Aoki and Segura.
CHC – The Cubs have been a bit better on offense lately, but I still don’t trust them. Plus Gallardo has been pitching well.
