MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, June 12

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Nick Kurtz
ebeimfohr: Shea Langeliers
boggslite: Nick Kurtz
Dean78904: Nick Kurtz

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: We have an extremely obvious SP1 and an extremely obvious top offense. Fortunately, both Jacob Misiorowski and the A’s are priced up enough that you can’t just load them all up in every lineup. So while I’d say they are “chalk,” you can still get over the field on them if you want to. I want to. My focus is going to be on cheaper plays around those spend-ups, and anywhere I can fit the MizA’s, I will not overthink it. This leads me further away from stacking anyone other than the A’s and more toward finding as many cheap bats as I can to play around them. On DK, at SP2, I am going to be spread out all over the place. I simply do not have a favorite SP2, and I’ll play in all different price ranges – from guys like Joe Ryan, Spencer Strider, or Shane McClanahan, to Roki Sasaki or Landen Roupp, to Jack Leiter and Jack Flaherty. I might even toss some random cheap darts like Griffin Canning or Luinder Avila just to make everything else fit.

ebeimfohr: I will be focusing on smaller-field tournaments, centering my lineups around Jacob Misiorowski. He is very expensive and will certainly not be low-owned, so I will be looking for some value at the other spots that are more off the beaten path. The slate is very wide open from a hitting perspective after the A’s, and there are a myriad of SP2 options on DraftKings, and that’s where I will be getting different in these smaller fields around the best pitcher in baseball.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – I prefer the hitting side of things, with several offenses in great spots to put up runs. As much as I would love to jam in Jacob Misiorowski, his steep price may prevent me from doing so as part of some stacks, so I will likely be under the field on him. In lineups where I can’t afford Misiorowski, I’ll instead turn to some cheaper options like Roki Sasaki and Tanner Bibee, who have the ability to put up decent numbers in their matchups.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I like Jacob Misiorowski and the A’s, just like everyone else, but if I’m forced to make a decision, I’d first prioritize the arm at the sacrifice of a big bat from the A’s. My SP2 is very much fluid and will mostly depend on how much salary I have available. I don’t love the matchup or ballpark, but I’m very much intrigued by what Roki Sasaki has done lately. Of course the ballpark is daunting, but I don’t think Gage Jump is completely bonkers if I need a cheap SP2. Shane McClanahan and Joe Ryan are also in my pool, but I just don’t know if I’ll be able to make them work with The Miz. I don’t expect to be able to get to a full Athletics stack in my main lineup, but I’m going to try my best. I’ll look to fill out my rosters with players from the Dodgers, D-Backs, Reds, and Royals first.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
