MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, September 20
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
CheeseIsGood: Bobby Witt
boggslite: Bobby Witt
ebeimfohr: Bobby Witt
Alex Sonty: Bobby Witt
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
CheeseIsGood: Royce Lewis – After just 2 starts, we’re mostly guessing at the skill set for Boston’s Richard Fitts. But between his 10 innings in the majors and his minor league numbers, I see nothing to suggest that he’s a major league caliber pitcher. He has just 2 strikeouts to go with 3 walks in 23 at-bats against righties so far, and he was just an average 22.6% K% pitcher at Triple-A with no batted-ball lean. Even if I thought he was something close to average (which I don’t), I’d be playing Royce Lewis and the Twins early and often. Lewis comes in with a big .270 ISO against RHP this season, joining his teammates in the outfield, Byron Buxton and Matt Wallner, also with ISOs above .270.
boggslite: Bobby Witt – At home where he’s hitting .378 with a 1.121 OPS this season, Witt instantly becomes my top overall option to pay up for. He’s playing a premium position and drawing a great matchup against a hittable righty that suffers from home run issues.

ebeimfohr: Juan Soto – J.T. Ginn projects as the worst pitcher on the slate for me, but he’s particularly bad against lefties. He’s allowed a .399 xwOBA and .266 xISO to lefties in 2024, with just an 18% K rate. Meanwhile, Soto’s season has probably been lost a bit in the Shohei Ohtani & Aaron Judge hype, but he’s posted a truly absurd .468 xwOBA and .358 xISO vs. RHP this season.
Alex Sonty: Bobby Witt – We have an 86-degree forecast in Kansas City with a pitcher in Mason Black, allowing a .306 ISO on a 14.6% barrel rate through 70 right-handed hitters faced on the bump for the Giants. Witt has a 15% barrel rate against RHP with electrifying speed. He’s the total package facing a pitcher who can’t keep the ball in the ballpark, with good hitting weather to boot.
