What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: Tonight, I’m playing 1 lineup on each site, mainly in smaller fields with limited entries. It really shouldn’t be hard to get different. Pitching is a crapshoot—just don’t play Bryan Woo and Spencer Schwellenbach together, and you’re already unique. With no offense projected over 5.2 runs and only two teams under 4, getting different at hitting won’t be tough either. Being overweight on the Reds will be my main edge.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – On a slate that lacks high-end pitching options in plus matchups, my priority will be building around my hitters. I have no issue paying up for Bryan Woo and Spencer Schwellenbach, but I won’t force both of them into my lineups. Instead, I’ll opt to spend down on guys like Ben Brown, Eduardo Rodriguez, or Jack Kochanowicz if I need the savings.

ebeimfohr: We have a nice-sized slate, but my hitting pool is actually quite small. With a very tight hitting pool, that allows me to more easily focus in on single-entry and/or smaller-field tournaments, while finding pitching pivots off of the chalky options given the depth of rather similar level of talent at pitcher tonight and a variety of different matchups and price points.

ncorfield8k: Large-field tournaments – With a slate this large, I expect at least one team will be able to support a strong 5-man (or 4-man on FD) stack, so I’ll be playing the largest possible primary stack in most of my lineups. There are several pitchers I like, but none that I love, so I’ll set my max exposure lower than usual and be fairly spread out.
