What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 20 entries in the larger-field GPP contests. I am going to play at least 10 Baltimore stacks to make sure I get overweight on the top offense, and I will split up my pitching exposure a little more, with George Kirby and Trevor Rogers as my favorite pivots away from the most expensive options.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests on both sites along with 20-entry max contests. When paying up for pitcher, I like getting more exposure to Joe Ryan, as Hunter Brown is projecting to be the chalk pitcher, and I will be playing a decent amount of Nick Kurtz in GPPs. The Twins and Rockies are great cheaper stacks to pair with my favorite higher-priced stacks like the Cubs and Padres. I like Trevor Rogers over on DK at a discounted price, but I don’t mind getting exposure to some of the Rockies like Hunter Goodman and Tyler Freeman.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll just be playing one lineup in single-entry contests. I think I’ll be looking to spend down at pitcher, at least to the middle tier. The Cubs are my favorite stack on the slate, but they’re expensive. I’ll be looking to the likes of Jacob Lopez or George Kirby on FD, and I’ll use Trevor Rogers on DK so that I can afford as many Cubs as possible.

tcsmith031: I like larger slates like this one for single-entry contests, as you don’t have to go too far off the board from an ownership standpoint to still play +EV lineups. I’ll eat the Hunter Brown chalk at SP1 (despite being absolutely terrified of Nick Kurtz), and a Twins full stack comes together pretty easily thanks to some cheap salaries on some of their better hitters (Royce Lewis, Carlos Correa, etc.). If I need to free up some salary, I’m fine taking the savings at SP2 with lower-owned options like Grant Holmes, Jacob Lopez, or Kumar Rocker.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
