What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 20 entries in large-field tournaments. My focus today will be to spend up at pitcher as much as possible, with plenty of exposure to Hunter Greene, Garrett Crochet, and Chris Sale at the top for their strikeout ceilings. This will require me to focus on some cheaper stacks, with the Reds being an elite target against an unproven, inconsistent starting pitcher in Carmen Mlodzinski.
Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests along with 20-entry max. Even though I tend to save at pitching when it’s available, I do like the spots for guys like Hunter Greene, Garrett Crochet, and Cole Ragans, and I will be building around that trio. Zack Wheeler is one of the high-priced pitchers I am eliminating from my pool. I agree with Justin that CIN is a great cheaper stack to pair with an upside pitcher, as they have the potential to put up some numbers against an inexperienced pitcher.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs. I plan to narrow down my pitching pool as much as possible on a slate with a ton of high-upside options. I’m going to ignore Zack Wheeler. There are multiple players with a similar ceiling but a discounted price tag. I’ll be focusing on Cole Ragans, Hunter Greene, Garrett Crochet, and Chris Sale, with just a sprinkle of Logan Webb.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
