MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, July 7

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I am going to be significantly overweight on Tarik Skubal as my SP1 today. He draws a solid strikeout matchup against the Reds and brings more upside to the table than both Reynaldo Lopez and Nathan Eovaldi. I am planting my flag with Skubal here, and I will have little to no exposure to Lopez and Eovaldi today.

Krayton: With Tarik Skubal projected to be highly owned today, I am looking to be overweight on the cheaper pitching options such as Hayden Wesneski and DJ Herz. We saw yesterday that pitchers in great matchups can struggle as Garrett Crochet did, and I would rather prioritize my bats today. I even prefer Nathan Eovaldi over Tarik Skubal today, as you get a better matchup and some nice savings.

tcsmith031: I don’t see the point in messing around with some of the cheap pitching today, so I’ll have a very concentrated pitching pool. That’ll require some cheap stacks, and teams like the Marlins and Angels look like decent ways to save salary. This looks like it could be a fairly low scoring slate.

TJ Zwarych: There are plenty of cheap pitchers picking up very low projected ownership today, so while I really like Tarik Skubal and Nathan Eovaldi as spend ups, I also want to make sure I’m overweight on DJ Herz, Hayden Wesneski, and Jonathan Gannon in my 150-max build.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
