MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, April 30

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Yordan Alvarez
stevietpfl: Juan Soto
Notorious: Gunnar Henderson

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in large-field tournaments?

headChopper: Gunnar Henderson
stevietpfl: Yordan Alvarez
Notorious: Taylor Ward

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I prefer 1 lineup in small-field tournaments. On DK, I want to spend up at SP1 and save some money at SP2. I want to do two full stacks – whether that’s a 4-4 on DK and FD, a 5-3 on DK, or a 4-3 on FD. I want to pick two teams and hope I get them correct. One piece of those two-headed stacks will be a chalky Cincinnati team, and the second piece I can go more off the radar with.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on 3-5 lineups in small-field contests. This is a great slate, with both plenty of pitching options and stacks to target. For my pitching pool, I’m going to narrow it down to Paul Skenes, Cristopher Sanchez, Freddy Peralta, and Michael Soroka. I want to stack the Reds, Nationals, Rockies, Orioles, Pirates, and Mets as much as possible. I’m going to build 4/4 stacks a little more today.

Notorious: I’m going to play small-field tournaments. I’m going to eat the chalk at pitcher (Paul Skenes and Cristopher Sanchez), stack the Orioles, and then fill in some value bats. I don’t expect the Orioles to be overly chalky, as Peter Lambert has pitched well so far this season (I’m just not buying it).

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
