MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, August 15th
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
TheLuuch: Shohei Ohtani
headChopper: Francisco Lindor
Dean78904: Francisco Lindor
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
TheLuuch: Logan Webb – We can’t go wrong with a few of these pitchers, but Webb has been ridiculous lately. He’s given up 2 total earned runs in his last 3 starts. He’ll likely be closer to half or a third of the ownership of Jack Flaherty. Atlanta has a pretty low implied run total, which makes me feel even better about using Webb. The Braves rank 22nd in wRC+ vs. RHP since July 1.
headChopper: Logan Webb – Of course, Jack Flaherty is chalk and low-hanging fruit, but Milwaukee can be tough, and he’s expensive. Webb will come in much lower-owned, cheaper, and he has pitched well lately (2 runs total in his last 3 starts). Sometimes Vegas gives you a nudge, and having Atlanta as the lowest team total on the slate gives me support for liking Webb more than the others.

Dean78904: Jack Flaherty – Separating the good SPs from the bad ones is pretty easy, and spotting the one elite strikeout pitcher among them is even easier. Flaherty (who also has a slate-low 2.73 SIERA) has a whopping 32.1% K rate this season, while the next closest dude is at 22.8%. It really is that simple. Max Fried, Logan Webb, and Bryce Miller are all fine, but assuming I have the salary, I want to reach up and get Flaherty.
