MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, May 21

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

headChopper: Corbin Carroll
Notorious: Aaron Judge
TastefulTides: Corbin Carroll

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

headChopper: I am playing 1 lineup on each site and will be focused on smaller-field tournaments that have limited entries. I’ll be eating all of the Arizona chalk, so I just have to be a little different with my other hitters. It’ll be an Arizona stack and at most a 2-man stack from another team, but it is very likely that it will be a series of one-offs after the Arizona stack.

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. For only having 4 games, this is actually a fun slate. We have a wealth of pitching options at all different price points. While Spencer Strider has the most name value, I don’t see a big difference in the actual projections of a lot of the pitchers. For that reason, I’m going to save on my pitchers with Luis Severino and Eduardo Rodriguez. This allows me to spend up on expensive hitters from the Yankees and Diamondbacks.

TastefulTides: Single-entry tournaments are my preferred format. It’s all about the Diamondbacks and the Angels in terms of stacking. The Diamondbacks are too cheap across both sites, and I will play them heavily in all formats. The Angels are my favorite stack if you want to fade some of the Diamondbacks chalk. Luis Severino has low strikeouts and high walks, especially against righties, which makes the likes of Jo Adell and Jorge Soler very solid value plays. And of course, you can always pay up for Mike Trout.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
