What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: I will play all formats tonight, but my preference is with smaller-field tournaments. There is such a huge array of options on both the pitching and hitting sides that I can’t even begin to cover every upside option, even in 150 lineups. I also don’t think anything is so far ahead of the field that it deserves to be heavy chalk. As of now, I don’t think we are going to run into anything being too popular, which means I can just lean into my favorite plays in those smaller-field tournaments. The only two offenses I have mild concern about ownership are the Braves and Red Sox, so I’ll be under the field on them compared to my other four favorites: Cubs, Cardinals, Blue Jays, and A’s.
headChopper: I’ll play 1 lineup on each site, primarily entered in small-field, limited-entry contests. With 13 games on the slate, it doesn’t look like projected ownership is going to matter much — it’s going to be spread out. There are plenty of solid pitching options, and stacks will be all over the place. My early build has a spend-up at SP1, an SP2 with low pOWN%, and a couple of 3-man stacks from teams I like.
stevietpfl: I will be focused on smaller-field contests. We have a lot of options at pitching and hitting, so I want to focus on building a few lineups. I’ll take some strong stands, but I don’t think we’re going to see a lot of chalk on this slate. I’m going to be overweight on the Braves, A’s, and Cubs. I like the mini stacks for the Cardinals and Blue Jays. As for pitching, I will be all-in on Hunter Brown. On DraftKings, I’ll use Seth Lugo and Jose Soriano as my main SP2 options.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I will likely have some Red Sox, but I will be mindful of the pinch-hit threats and likely limit the Red Sox to mini stacks. I expect to make 3-3-2 / 4-2-1-1 type of lineups in the hopes of picking out the homers from some of my favorite offenses (e.g. Red Sox, Athletics, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Cubs, Braves). I very much expect to be over the field on Hunter Brown.
