MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, September 24

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Fernando Tatis
Dean78904: Fernando Tatis
Stevietpfl: Alec Burleson
boggslite: Matt Olson

Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

CheeseIsGood: Fernando Tatis – The Dodgers’ Landon Knack has been a disaster against righties this season, allowing a scary .250 ISO with just a 33% ground-ball rate and a 13.8% barrel rate. Tatis has remained an elite hitter when healthy, sporting a .263 ISO and .386 wOBA against RHP. Tatis is surging down the stretch, with 6 HRs in his last 11 games, and while he may be somewhat popular, I think the high-end ownership gets very spread out on this slate.

Dean78904: Jazz Chisholm – I wanted to write up Juan Soto here and, by all means, play him too, but I’m afraid he might have a couple of BBs on layaway with the combination of his spectacular eye and Dean Kremer‘s wildness vs lefties (11.4% BB). The game script here is for the free-swinging Jazz to come up with the bases juiced and for him to take advantage of the short porch in RF. Of course, Chisholm can get it done with his legs as well, as he has swiped 38 bags this season. I could have featured basically any Yankee here, but I like the combination of Chisholm’s upside and low pOWN% (especially on DK).

Stevietpfl: Juan SotoDean Kremer has pitched well in the second half of the season but continues to struggle with left-handed power bats. He has a .154 ISO with a .342 wOBA against left-handed hitters over the last 30 days. Juan Soto is one of the best left-handed hitters in baseball. Soto has a .289 ISO with a .431 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. I like the ballpark for left-handed power, and I think Soto could have lower ownership. The Yankees clinch the division with a win tonight against Baltimore.

boggslite: Matt Olson – Entering tonight’s game, he is hitting .394 with a 1.424 OPS over his last 10 games. Olson is heating up at a pivotal time for the Braves, who are currently on the outside looking in of the playoff picture. He faces a righty in Luis Severino, who hasn’t fared well against lefties this year, making Olson a quality option to pay up for in a game with sneaky run potential for the Braves.
