Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: There is just a little too much to like for me to narrow down, so I prefer an MME build tonight, where I can have a variety of my favorite pitchers and stacks but still comfortably get ahead of the field on my favorites. I’m going to keep a more narrowed-down pitching pool, with just the three aces and three cheaper SP2s and pivots – Jose Soriano, Sean Burke, and Quinn Mathews. Beyond the obvious top stacks, my favorites to get a little different are going to be the White Sox and Padres, and then even a little deeper, the Cardinals and Pirates.

headChopper: I’m mostly focusing on small-field tournaments tonight, including a few higher-stakes contests. I’m building one lineup on each site. It’s a large slate with plenty of hitting options and several high-powered arms. While I doubt I’ll pay up for two high-priced arms on DraftKings, I’ll roster at least one stud there and ensure my pitcher on FanDuel comes from the top trio. With so much hitting available, I’m looking for a cheaper stack to build around with the rest of my hitters. As starting MLB lineups drop, reserves, or players elevated in the batting order can emerge as key underpriced options for their roles tonight.

stevietpfl: I’m focusing on 3-5 lineups in small-field tournaments. On FanDuel, I want to pay up at pitcher for one of the big three options. On DraftKings, I’m pairing a premium SP1 with a mid-tier SP2, where I like Sean Burke, Landen Roupp, and Quinn Mathews. On the hitting side, the Yankees look like the top stack. I’m differentiating my Yankees stacks by fading Aaron Judge. With reports indicating the team is easing him back into action, I’m concerned about him leaving early. At his price point on DraftKings, I need maximum plate appearances. On FanDuel, it makes a little more sense to take shots on him, but it looks like he’s going to be popular at this discounted price. On both sites, I want to be different with my Yankees stacks, and being underweight on Judge will be the difference-maker for me.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. On FD, I don’t think I would stray from locking in one of Tarik Skubal, Cam Schlittler, or Jacob Misiorowski. On DK, I expect to have at least one of those arms in every lineup, and I’ll test out builds pairing two of them together. There isn’t much to love beyond the elite options, which will likely lead me to fully punt my SP2 with Quinn Mathews if I can’t double-barrel aces. They are chalky, but my favorite stacks on the board are the Dodgers and Yankees. That said, I don’t expect to pay up for Aaron Judge or Shohei Ohtani, primarily for salary reasons. Behind the Dodgers and Yankees, the Blue Jays, Padres, Nationals, and Royals are next up on my board.
