MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, August 28
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
SquirrelPatrol: Jake Burger
Stevietpfl: Jake Burger
TheLuuch: Jake Burger (FD) / Corey Seager (DK)
Alex Sonty: Ryan McMahon (FD) / Corey Seager (DK)
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
SquirrelPatrol: I’ll likely go very under the field on Chris Sale, using the salary to spend up on hitters and spread out my exposure at pitcher. Minnesota has the 11th-lowest in K% vs. LHP and hits very well at home, so Sale could have a rare tough outing. I’ll focus on stacks like the Coors Field teams, Boston, Texas, and the White Sox (on DraftKings).
Stevietpfl: Typically, I’m someone that goes underweight on bats in Coors. That’s not the case tonight, as I want to be overweight on the Rockies and Marlins. I also like the bats from TOR/BOS and BAL/LAD. With pitching, I will pay up for Chris Sale or save money with David Festa, Jack Leiter, or Joe Musgrove. I prefer saving money at pitcher and spending up for bats.

TheLuuch: It’s a great slate to have what looks like will be some very low-owned SP2 options. My pitching pool will be tight, and I will prioritize rolling the dice on Joe Musgrove, Eduardo Rodriguez, and even some Max Meyer as my SP2. All of them are currently projected at single-digit pOWN%. Meyer hasn’t found consistent footing, but he’s a very talented prospect, and he also provides some leverage against what seems to be a popular Rockies stack.
Alex Sonty: I don’t think I can afford Chris Sale, and I do think that I can afford to go without him, given a couple of other pitching options. It’s a slate where I’m struggling to be different, so I’m probably just X-ing out Sale and the Jays to be different across my 3-5 lineups.
