MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, September 16

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stevietpfl: Jackson Merrill
Notorious: Fernando Tatis Jr.
TJ Zwarych: Jackson Merrill

Who is your favorite sneaky stack on the board and why?

stevietpfl: Marlins – I don’t think the Marlins will be sneaky, but they’re on the lower end for pOWN% in our MLB DFS optimizer, LineupHQ. At this point in his career, Merrill Kelly is a below-average strikeout pitcher who can’t get lefties out. Kelly has a 13% strikeout rate with a .226 ISO and a .368 wOBA allowed against lefties. I’ll look to some of the Marlins power bats in a hitter-friendly ballpark. My three favorites would be Kyle Stowers, Griffin Conine, and Jakob Marsee.

Notorious: Marlins – I’ve been stacking against Merrill Kelly all season, so there’s no reason to stop now, especially if the Marlins are going to have next to no ownership. Kelly has a slate-worst 6.73 xERA with a .387 xwOBA allowed this season. The Marlins have some sneaky firepower in their lineup.

TJ Zwarych: Mariners – I like targeting Seattle any time they’re outside of their home ballpark, and I love the spot against Yusei Kikuchi, who should be picking up some ownership on DK as an SP2. Kikuchi has always struggled with power to righties, and that’s the case this season as well, giving up a .205 ISO on a 57.5% hard-hit rate. Cal Raleigh, Randy Arozarena, and Julio Rodriguez are the priorities, but I like a full stack here as well.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
