How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: Tonight looks like the right time to go to my old favorite – the all-in / all-out strategy with chalky stacks. In my overall portfolio, I will be somewhere near the field on Arizona. But I don’t want to just have the same 30-40% as everyone else in any one tournament. I either want to be way over or way under the field. I do that by picking certain tournaments to play 100% Arizona stacks and others to completely fade them. In my non-Arizona builds, I’ll lean first to Texas, followed by San Francisco, and then mostly high-end one-offs from the other popular teams.
squirrelpatrol: I’ll spend down at pitcher and spread out my exposure there while using the savings to spend up for hitters with power and/or speed. Especially when there is a good offense in Coors Field, I’m more comfortable spending up for the chalk with hitters right now than spending up for pitchers.
stevietpfl: There are 12 playable pitchers on this slate. We should be able to find some lower-owned pitching options to pair with our higher-owned stacks. Arizona, Texas, New York, LA, and Atlanta are just far above the rest for me. I like looking at Seattle, San Francisco, and the New York Mets as lower-owned secondary stacks. Like yesterday, I will be looking for more 4/4 and 4/2/2 type of stacks.
boggslite: With plenty of high-power offenses in great spots, my focus will be to find some savings at pitcher, especially on two-pitcher sites. Tyler Glasnow and Zack Wheeler are awesome pitchers, but I don’t see them breaking the slate this early in the season.
ebeimfohr: This will be a little similar to yesterday for me. The D-backs are a standout stack, both in projection and pOWN%, but I still want to have heavy exposure. However, I think we can definitley look to the bats that are lesser owned in that lineup, especially given the fact that Cal Quantrill is just as bad (arguably worse) vs. righties and the D-backs righties will be a bit lesser owned (and also do not have pinch-hit risk). Pairing them with lesser-owned hitting options, either as one-offs or secondary stacks, looks very strong in tournaments.
