Happy Friday! We’ve again got a bit of an unusual Friday with a few day games and then a main slate that starts earlier than normal at 6:40 PM ET. I’ll focus on that 7-game main slate, which is the same for both sites. If you want to get a jump on the early 3-game slate, we’ll have some expert tags posted in LineupHQ along with our projections.
We are loaded with quality pitchers tonight, headlined by Spencer Strider along with several aces who came out of the gate strong in their opening starts. Let’s dive in and see if we can find some separation among all these aces.

How Far To Stride?
There is really no need to waste any time or energy trying to decide if Strider is the best pitcher. He is the best pitcher. This is just a matter of salary on a slate where we do have a lot of other aces at significant savings. For whatever it’s worth, this is not a great matchup for Strider, but he’s one of those guys whose upside is matchup-proof. But it certainly puts a bit of a damper on the enthusiasm to pay $11,000 for a pitcher when he’s facing a good team. On FD, he’s really not priced up all that much, and he is the very easy SP1 in all formats, and I don’t see much need to overthink this in most lineups.
But on DK, we’ve got nearly a $2,000 gap between Strider and everyone else, and the everyone elses are good. Let’s see what we find before making any firm decisions on Strider.
