Happy Thursday! We’ve got another split-slate day that starts with an early 4-gamer at 1:05 PM ET. I’ll take a quick peek at that pitcherless early slate before diving into the evening slate. The night slates are split up slightly different, with FD adding one earlier game for a 7-game slate starting at 6:50 PM ET. DK is sticking with the regular start time of 7:10 PM ET for a 6-game slate.
Thursday Early Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

This is one of the weakest pitching slates we’ve seen in a while, and it’s tough to feel excited about any of this. We can split the 8 pitchers into two buckets.
I Guess We’ll Call It The Top Tier
Nestor Cortes at Royals – 23.9% K, 4.9% BB, 3.68 ERA, 3.76 SIERA
Reynaldo Lopez at Orioles – 24.8% K, 8.4% BB, 1.85 ERA, 3.80 SIERA
Lance Lynn vs. Pirates – 21.8% K, 9.3% BB, 3.58 ERA, 4.23 SIERA
Mitch Keller at Cardinals – 22% K, 6.5% BB, 3.16 ERA, 3.88 SIERA
Well, yikes! We don’t have any pitchers above 25% strikeouts, and the two guys who even manage to crack the 23% mark have very tough matchups. I feel pretty certain that there is no best answer to this weird little puzzle. I can only tell you what I’m going to do about it.
