Happy Tuesday! Here’s hoping Tuesday is at least slightly less nonsensical than whatever happened last night. Goodness gracious.

We’ve got a big 12-game slate that looks to be evenly balanced on both the pitching and hitting sides. I can see a case for just about any type of lineup build, from ace pitchers down to cheap darts and high-end spend-up bats that look good for stacking as well as power-hunting.

The only game that looks a little dicey on the MLB weather report, and has a pitching option we need to keep an eye on, is the DET/CWS game where Jack Flaherty is on the mound. For now, with Roth giving it a Yellow/Orange, I’m still using him, but be sure to check back in before lock or get the final word on Crunch Time.

Tuesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

Skenes of the Pirates

If four aces wasn’t enough to get a single good start last night, perhaps we can get a couple good ones now that we have six of them? Here’s hoping!

TOP TIER PITCHING

Paul Skenes against the Brewers is a fantastic real-life matchup, with arguably the best pitcher in the league going against the team with the best record in the league. I am firmly on the side of Skenes winning this matchup, but he’s also $11,000 on DK and $10,800 on FD. As great as he is, his good DFS games are generally more around 30 DK points, and he doesn’t get the massive ceiling that you can’t possibly win without. He is definitely my SP1 without salary considered, but let’s see what else we find.

Among this top tier, the best matchup belongs to Skenes’ opponent, Freddy Peralta. Peralta is a very good pitcher, but he is a guy who struggles with efficiency, and even with a high pitch count, he hasn’t made it more than 5 innings in any of his last 4 starts. The control is always borderline, and he just can’t stay out of his own way with long innings, regardless of how many runs he allows.
