Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS Picks Today for Tuesday 6/30

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to muse about the June 30, 2026 MLB DFS slate.
Happy Tuesday! We have the same three great hitting spots as we did last night, along with far better pitching options up top and a bigger group of high-end offenses past those top three games. At first glance, I am seeing a lot of different ways to build lineups with huge upside. As always, I’ll narrow things down as best as I can, but there is a lot of room for disagreement on the best paths to lineup construction tonight.
Tuesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

We have a loaded pitching slate, and it’s one that looks very tough to sort through at first glance. I’m going to have to just cut a bunch of very good pitchers out of my pool, but you can absolutely have a different opinion than I do. We start with 9 very good pitchers priced between $8,200 – $10,500 on DK.
TOP TIER PITCHING
- Cam Schlittler vs. Tigers – 29.9% K, 5.1% BB, 1.62 ERA, 2.90 SIERA
- Tarik Skubal at Yankees – 28.2% K, 3.4% BB, 3.32 ERA, 2.84 SIERA
- Joe Ryan at Astros – 28.5% K, 5% BB, 3.18 ERA, 3.13 SIERA
- Bryan Woo vs. Angels – 24.6% K, 4.8% BB, 4.26 ERA, 3.56 SIERA
- Jose Soriano at Mariners – 25.4% K, 12% BB, 3.32 ERA, 4.08 SIERA
- Nolan McLean at Blue Jays – 28.5% K, 9.1% BB, 4.03 ERA, 3.45 SIERA
- Kevin Gausman vs. Mets – 23.6% K, 5.6% BB, 4.36 ERA, 3.69 SIERA
- Connelly Early vs. Nationals – 23.5% K, 8.5% BB, 3.59 ERA, 4.00 SIERA
- Landen Roupp at Diamondbacks – 26.2% K, 9.4% BB, 4.07 ERA, 3.67 SIERA
Using long-term numbers, Tarik Skubal would be the ace of this slate, but using 2026 numbers, it would be his opponent, Cam Schlittler. In Skubal’s 3 starts back off the IL, the strikeouts and control have been there, but he’s allowed a total of 6 HRs. I don’t see any red flags under the surface to explain that, so most likely, it’s just been baseball randomness with that power. He’s still a tick below his strikeout rate from the last few seasons, but this is still an elite pitcher any way you slice it. The best version of Skubal is matchup-proof, but maybe the current version of him is slightly matchup-dependent. This does leave him with some power risk (even if the current home-run struggles are just fluky), and it’s about an average matchup for strikeouts. My lean here is that this ‘not great’ version of Skubal is still basically as good as anyone else on the slate, and there is more upside from here. I am very comfortable with him as my SP1 at his salary on either site, but let’s look at Schlittler and then compare.
In Schlittler’s 17 starts this season, he does have a higher strikeout rate than Skubal, and they both have elite control. I still think it’s most likely that from now until the end of the season, we’ll see better K-BB numbers from Skubal, but they are both fantastic. One plus for Schlittler is that he gets a longer leash than Skubal – quite often getting an extra 10 pitches or so. Maybe that matters, maybe it doesn’t, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. Both teams have power, and the projected lineups for both teams have 4 higher-strikeout bats. Overall, everything is slightly better about the matchup for Schlittler, but just like with their skills, it’s kind of like the ol’ six of one, half dozen of the other. I’m going to say I prefer Schlittler if the salary doesn’t matter and if he’s projected to be lower owned (which I expect). But really, we’re just tossing amazing coins at this point.
From here, rather than just moving down the salary line, let me discuss the other two pitchers here that I expect to be the most popular: Bryan Woo and Joe Ryan.
Bryan Woo is the cheapest of these top four on both sites, and most importantly for his projection and pOWN%, he’s at home against the Angels. This is similar to the decision with George Kirby last night, but there are several differences.
