Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS picks

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to muse about the June 9, 2026 MLB DFS slate.

Happy Tuesday! It appears that what we have on our hands tonight is a good old-fashioned barn burner. After one game, it looks like this little ballpark in Vegas may in fact be even more ridiculous than expected. And now we add on top of that a Coors Field game with extreme hitting weather, giving us two games with totals over 12 runs. There is plenty of other offense on this slate, but it’s going to be tough to make a case not to just load up on those spots.

He threw 75 pitches in a rehab start, so he’s probably pretty close to a full go, though he is also less likely to get up to the 100+ pitches that he typically gets. At the very least, it lowers his pitch-count ceiling a bit. But even at something like 90 pitches, he has more than enough upside with his elite strikeout ability.

Cease is also the cheapest of what I consider to be the top three aces: Cease, Wheeler, and Burns. When we factor in matchups and salary, I’m leaving Zack Wheeler in 3rd place, which means he is just not going to make it into my primary pool. Wheeler is fantastic, and of course he’s playable, but with a lower strikeout rate to begin with and a lower-strikeout matchup, I can’t play him ahead of Cease and Burns.

Between Cease and Chase Burns, the strikeouts in the matchups are pretty similar, but there is really no comparison when it comes to…
