Happy Tuesday! We’ve got a good-looking 11-game slate that appears to have a good mix of everything. At first glance, my lean is a little more towards spending my salary on the hitting side, but we’ll see what we find as we dig in.

Kevin Roth continues to live his best life with yet another clear day on the MLB weather front, so let’s dive right on in.

Tuesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

Kirby of the Mariners

We’ve got a sizeable group of spend-up options, but there are question marks with most of them. I’ll sort into three tiers based on DK pricing, and I would expect to land on a pretty condensed pool based on what I’m seeing at first glance.

TOP TIER PITCHING

George Kirby had a terrible outing last week, his 2nd 7-run disaster in his last 4 starts, but I would still call him the ‘safest’ cash game spend-up option. All of his issues have come on the road this season, and his pitching style gets a boost in his home ballpark, where he has a 3.16 ERA in 51 innings. However, he is also not a big strikeout pitcher, and he is even lower at home where he’s more content getting easy innings and relying on his control. The matchup is very good, and he’s not overly expensive at $10,000 on both sites. My initial thought is that I’m completely fine with Kirby in any lineup on any site, but he’s not some kind of must-play with a huge ceiling, so let’s see what else we find.
