Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS Picks Today for Wednesday 4/29

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to give you his musings on the April 29, 2026 MLB DFS slate.
Happy Wednesday! We have a split-slate day with games sprinkled all over the place. I’ll start with a quick look at the early 6-game DK slate that starts at 1:10 PM ET. Then we’ll move to the evening main slate, where DK starts at 6:35 PM ET with a 7-game slate, while FD has the same starting time but adds 1 extra game with the late-night KC/ATH clash in the Greater West Sacramento Metro Area.
There are some moderate MLB weather concerns to keep an eye on for both slates. It looks more likely that the early slate works out, but the TB/CLE game has some rain chances to be aware of. On the later slate, we’ll have to check back closer to lock with the HOU/BAL and SF/PHI games. For now, I’ll write this as if everything plays cleanly.
Wednesday Early Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings

TOP TIER PITCHING
- Tyler Glasnow vs. Marlins – 29.6% K, 10.3% BB, 2.99 ERA, 3.58 SIERA
- George Kirby at Twins – 24.5% K, 5.6% BB, 3.92 ERA, 3.49 SIERA
- Gavin Williams vs. Rays – 25.7% K, 12.1% BB, 3.10 ERA, 4.24 SIERA
- Taj Bradley vs. Mariners – 21.8% K, 9.2% BB, 4.64 ERA, 4.33 SIERA
- Nathan Eovaldi vs. Yankees – 25% K, 4.7% BB, 2.55 ERA, 3.28 SIERA
- Drew Rasmussen at Guardians – 22.4% K, 6% BB, 2.72 ERA, 3.77 SIERA
- Elmer Rodriguez at Rangers – MLB debut
If we use just 2026 numbers, two pitchers here are way ahead of the pack in strikeout rate – Tyler Glasnow and Gavin Williams, each at a 31% strikeout rate. However, Glasnow has added elite control to those strikeouts, while Williams has a terrifying 13.4% walk rate. That skill gap is priced in, but this is a situation where it’s very clear that Glasnow is the SP1 without considering salary or ownership. Glasnow has regularly been throwing 100+ pitches, he always has a strikeout ceiling, and when his control is strong like this, he’s simply elite.
Meanwhile, Gavin Williams is a complete wild card. He has two double-digit strikeout games this season, while he’s also walked 19 batters and allowed 6 home runs in 6 starts. The matchup is decent, but it does not appear as if the matchup is going to matter at all for a guy like Williams. He’s a more extreme example of a pitcher like Dylan Cease, where I think the best course of action is to fade him when he’s chalky and play him when he’s not. My initial thought is that while he’s not ‘chalk’ to the extent of Glasnow, he should be the 2nd-highest-owned pitcher on the slate. The ceiling is enticing, but let’s see what else we find on this slate.
I have almost no interest in…
