CheeseIsGood, a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Happy Wednesday! I’m going to focus on the 8-game evening slate that begins at the usual 7:10 PM ET. But we’ll start with a quick peek at the early 4-game slate starting at 1:10 PM ET. This early slate has some potential weather issues in the COL/MIN game, so you’ll need to keep an eye on our MLB Weather leading up to lock. For now, I’m assuming that game plays and will include it in the analysis.

Chris Bassitt at Brewers – 22.1% K, 8.8% BB, 3.80 ERA, 4.08 SIERA
Cheap Darts In Tougher Matchups
Tobias Myers vs. Blue Jays – 22.2% K, 9% BB, 4.15 ERA, 4.08 SIERA
Hogan Harris at Padres – 22.2% K, 9% BB, 2.21 ERA, 4.08 SIERA
Austin Gomber at Twins – 17.2% K, 7.7% BB, 3.38 ERA, 4.55 SIERA
Neither Pablo Lopez nor Michael King are super-elite aces, but they are still the two highest-strikeout pitchers on this slate and in far better matchups than everyone below them.

The home runs may continue to be an issue, but last week was the only start where his control was any sort of issue. I’m going to chalk that up to being a random outlier and call him my SP1. I would not argue at all if you want to fade a mega-chalk pitcher who has not looked great over his last 5 starts, but I’m looking at the skill set and matchup and taking them at face value.
Michael King has the same type of strikeout upside in his matchup with Oakland, and he has not had the same recent issues as Lopez. But he has also been very up and down with the strikeouts, and it’s not as if either of these guys are some guarantee to post 8+ strikeouts. On DK…
