MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Friday, June 13th

Opto% Stack

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees (Ryan Yarbrough)

The Red Sox profile as one of the top MLB DFS stacks against Ryan Yarbrough and the Yankees. They rank 4th in Opto% and 2nd in overall stack rating in our projections, supported by a strong 4.6 implied run total. While their matchup against a lefty like Yarbrough introduces some volatility—particularly due to pinch-hit risks with righties like Rob Refsnyder and Romy Gonzalez—the upside remains high.

Carlos Narvaez and Ceddanne Rafaela are key building blocks, each flashing strong barrel rates versus LHP this season and carrying lower risk of getting subbed out when the game moves to the bullpen. For large-field tournaments, full stacks that include Rafael Devers and Jarren Duran are viable as well, especially with the Yankees’ bullpen likely playing a role in the later innings.

Overall, while there’s a bit of risk to manage, the Red Sox offer the combination of value, ceiling, and projection-based leverage that makes them an excellent DFS stack.

Value% Stack

Minnesota Twins at Houston Astros (Colton Gordon)

The Twins are one of the top MLB DFS stacks on the slate against Colton Gordon and the Astros. They boast the highest overall stack rating in our projections, along with the 3rd-best Opto% and 2nd-best Value%. Despite a modest 4.0 implied run total, the underlying matchup offers strong upside for Minnesota’s right-handed bats.

Gordon is a strike-thrower with average strikeout ability, and against righties this season, he has a low 28% ground-ball rate and has allowed a .241 ISO—factors that line up well for the power-hitting righties on Minnesota. Byron Buxton stands out as an elite play, with both Carlos Correa and Willi Castro offering strong power metrics against LHP this season.

Minnesota’s combination of matchup-specific power and projection-driven value makes them an appealing target in all formats, particularly for tournaments where ownership leverage could be a bonus.
