MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Monday, May 5th
Opto% Stack
Atlanta Braves vs. Andrew Abbott
The Braves are an intriguing MLB DFS stack opportunity as they boast the best optimal stack rate in our projections, alongside holding the 4th-best stack rating and 7th-best Value%. With an implied run total of 5.13 runs, their offensive potential is notable.
The matchup against Andrew Abbott is particularly favorable due to his recent control issues. Abbott has allowed a .221 ISO to right-handers since last season, setting the stage for the Braves’ right-handed power hitters to shine.
Key players like Austin Riley, Marcell Ozuna, Ozzie Albies, and Sean Murphy, with ISOs over .170, add to the appeal.
Riley stands out as a primary target due to his potential to capitalize on Abbott’s struggles.

Value% Stack
Minnesota Twins vs. Cade Povich
The Twins are an appealing MLB DFS stack today against Cade Povich, boasting the 2nd-best optimal stack rate and the best Value% in our projections. With an implied run total of 4.8 runs, Minnesota’s offensive potential is strong.
The return of Royce Lewis bolsters their lineup, particularly against lefties like Povich, who has allowed a .226 ISO to right-handers since last season. Lewis and Byron Buxton emerge as top plays, providing significant power opportunities. Additionally, Ryan Jeffers and Carlos Correa further enhance the lineup’s potency.
Even the less prominent right-handed hitters lower in the order have a promising outlook in today’s matchup. While considering other options, the Twins edge out the Royals due to their power upside, despite the Royals facing a weaker bullpen.
