Happy MLB Opening Day Part 3! Nobody knows why some teams have still yet to play their first regular season game of 2026, but here we are.

Friday’s slate features 8 games, beginning at 4:35 p.m. ET with the Yankees against the Giants on ESPN. The rest of today’s action is scheduled for a 7:07 p.m. ET first pitch or later.

As always, it’s important to take a look at the MLB Weather report before locking in any wagers. There aren’t any extreme forecasts around the league today, but there is some decent wind blowing out in Atlanta, and cold temperatures could be a factor later tonight in Seattle.

Below, you can find my three picks for Friday, March 27th!

Best MLB Player Props for Friday, March 27th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:35 PM ET on Friday, March 27th:

Cody Bellinger UNDER 1.5 Total Bases (-182, DraftKings)

Bellinger has adjusted his approach at the plate in recent seasons, sacrificing some power potential for more in-zone contact. The results have eliminated his platoon splits. In 2025, he hit .353 against southpaws.

That being said, not all left-handed pitchers are created equal. Robbie Ray held LHB to a .188 batting average in 2025 and only 12 extra-base hits in 175 plate appearances.

San Francisco’s high-leverage arms are all rested following a day off on Thursday. They also have a trio of southpaws they are capable of deploying based on matchups. Bellinger would likely need an extra base hit off of a reliever or a 2-hit day to clear this number. The math is not in his favor.

Kazuma Okamoto OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+115, BetMGM)

Luis Severino is at his best on the road and against RHB, so this isn’t a prime matchup for Okamoto. However, this is simply about price.

Severino participated in this year’s World Baseball Classic, so he didn’t have a normal warm up heading into the regular season. We have already seen Logan Webb, Paul Skenes, and Matt Boyd struggle in similar circumstances.

Okamoto has excellent bat-to-ball skills and will be surrounded by good bats in Toronto’s lineup. A hitter who can put the ball in play will always have a chance to benefit from some good luck on balls in play, especially against an Athletics defense that finished 22nd in Outs Above Average last year.

Kyle Tucker OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-130, bet365)

On Thursday, Tucker had 4 at-bats, and his exit velocities in those were 102.6 mph, 96.1 mph, 94.3 mph, and 93.1 mph. He looks healthy and has the best lineup protection that he’s had at any point during his MLB career, with Shohei Ohtani hitting in front of him and Mookie Betts slotted directly behind him.

Ryne Nelson had a good year in 2025 against LHB, but he doesn’t miss many bats. The Diamondbacks also don’t have a single southpaw in their bullpen, which means Tucker should get some quality opportunities in the late innings on Friday.
