MLB Player Props Today

Francisco Lindor o1.5 Total Bases (-105), BetMGM

Entering play on Saturday, Francisco Lindor owns a disappointing .214 batting average and .690 OPS against right-handed pitching in 2023. However, he has a great opportunity to improve on those numbers this afternoon against Anthony DeSclafani, who has struggled mightily against left-handed batters this season. DeSclafani owns a pedestrian 14.6% strikeout rate against left-handed batters this year, and is allowing a .292 opponent batting average across the platoon. Nineteen of the 52 hits that DeSclafani has allowed to left-handed hitters have gone for extra bases. Expect Lindor to make hard contact today, which gives this play a lot of value at near even-money.

Jeff McNeil o1.5 Total Bases (+105), BetMGM

Following a mega-deal in free agency this past winter, Jeff McNeil has posted an impressive .259 batting average and a .668 OPS through the first half of the 2023 campaign. Still, he has been effective against right-handed pitching, posting a .270 batting average with extremely high contact rates. Today, he gets to face Anthony DeSclafani, who has struggled mightily to limit hard contact across the platoon this season. Compared to his numbers against right-handed batters, DeSclafani is allowing more base hits, more extra-base hits, more medium contact, and more hard contact to left-handed batters. Expect McNeil’s high-contact approach to serve him well in this matchup – take the over.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Anthony Rendon less than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks

This season, Anthony Rendon has struck out in only 10.9% of his plate appearances against right-handed pitching. His opponent tonight, Ryne Nelson, owns a pedestrian 19.0% strikeout rate against right-handed batters in 2023. Rendon struck out once in his first game back from the injured list yesterday, but should have his timing down better for today’s matchup. Trust him to put the ball in play each time he steps in the box.
