MLB Player Props Today

Tarik Skubal u2.5 Earned Runs (-150), DraftKings

Entering play, the Cleveland Guardians rank 30th in OPS and 29th in ISO against left-handed pitching during the month of August. Tarik Skubal has been a volatile starting pitcher of late. Still, he has held his opponent scoreless in four of his last seven turns through the rotation, making him a worthwhile investment in this spot against an inferior opponent.

Zac Gallen u18.5 Outs Recorded (-195), DraftKings

The juice has run on this play dramatically in the last few hours, but this is still worth an investment from the betting community – either as a parlay piece or an individual ticket. Zac Gallen last pitched against the San Diego Padres only five days ago, meaning that this is a hyper-proximity matchup for him. Even in his last outing, Gallen managed only 18 outs, despite holding the Friars scoreless. In the rematch, Gallen is likely to struggle with efficiency. Six innings is likely the extent of his leash in this matchup.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Francisco Lindor Less Than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks

On the season, Adam Wainwright has struck out only 10.9% of the left-handed batters that he has faced, which is one of the lowest rates in the league. Francisco Lindor is not an elite contact hitter, but he is good enough to consider in this matchup against an opponent who ranks in the 1st percentile in strikeout percentage, whiff rate, and fastball velocity in 2023. Trust Lindor to get the job done for us here.
