MLB Player Props Today

Kyle Tucker o1.5 Total Bases (-120), BetMGM

Kyle Tucker has been less than spectacular against right-handed pitching so far in 2023. Still, he has an extremely favorable matchup on Thursday night, which makes this play appealing. Through nine turns in the rotation this year, Adam Wainwright owns a dreadful 6.63 FIP, 9.8% strikeout rate, .398 opponent batting average, and a 2.24 WHIP against left-handed batters. Simply, this is one of the better left-handed hitters in baseball facing one of the worst pitchers in the league across the last two months of action. Take the over here.

Mike Moustakas o0.5 Total Bases (-145), BetMGM

Understandably, the public will be investing heavily in Shohei Ohtani tonight against the lackluster Lance Lynn. However, another strong option for bettors to consider in this matchup is Mike Moustakas. Entering play on Thursday, Lynn owns an abysmal 6.81 FIP, 2.00 WHIP, and a .350 opponent batting average against left-handed hitters in 2023. Moustakas is far from an elite producer at the dish, but one base knock in this matchup is an extremely reasonable expectation.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Freddie Freeman less than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks

After successfully targeting Adley Rutschman yesterday to put the ball in play, we are turning our attention to Freddie Freeman in this market for Thursday’s action. On the season, Freeman has struck out in only 16.7% of his plate appearances against right-handed pitching. During that same time period, Chase Anderson has struck out only 16.7% of the left-handed batters that he has faced. Playing at Coors Field tonight only further increases the likelihood that Freeman is able to avoid a strikeout – this is a great look for today’s slate.
