MLB Player Props Today
- Corey Seager, First Player to Hit a Home Run
- Freddie Freeman, First Player to Hit a Home Run
- Shohei Ohtani + Ronald Acuna Jr. More than 2.0 Hits + Runs + RBIs (Combo)
Corey Seager, First Player to Hit a Home Run (+2000), Caesars
Tonight, Corey Seager will bat cleanup for the American League. That means that he will be guaranteed a plate appearance against Zac Gallen in the first inning if one player can reach base in front of him (barring a double play). Gallen has been slightly more susceptible to the long ball this year against left-handed batters. Seager has a .219 career ISO against right-handed pitching. In a game where there is a notable absence of sharp angles, this is a play that at least has legs.
Freddie Freeman, First Player to Hit a Home Run (+1500), Caesars
If you are looking for a longshot ticket tonight to make the All-Star Game more interesting, look no further than Freddie Freeman to hit the first home run of the contest. On the season, Gerrit Cole has allowed 11 home runs, seven of which have been surrendered to left-handed hitters. T-Mobile Park is not a great venue for long balls, but the stadium has played somewhat more friendly to left-handed batters in 2023 than in previous seasons. This look is worth a very, very small investment.
MLB DFS Pick’em
Shohei Ohtani + Ronald Acuna Jr. More than 2.0 Hits + Runs + RBIs (Combo), PrizePicks
Of course, the All-Star Game is a tough matchup for every single player because they are going against their elite peers, each of whom is playing the game at an extremely high level. Still, Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuna Jr., the two likely MVPs in their respective league, are the creme de la creme in today’s ballgame. Though neither player is likely to have three plate appearances tonight, the opportunity to combine their two stat lines is a can’t miss opportunity for those who have access to PrizePicks.
