Happy Thursday! Today’s 8-game MLB slate begins with a trio of afternoon contests, followed by 5 games with traditional evening start times. Tarik Skubal, Kodai Senga, and Framber Valdez are among the aces who are scheduled to pitch, which should mean an entertaining Thursday of baseball for fans and the betting community.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Thursday, June 12th!

Best MLB Player Props for Thursday, June 12th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:10 PM ET on Thursday, June 12th:

James Wood OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+135, DraftKings)

Kodai Senga has some of the most extreme platoon stats among any starter in baseball this season. He owns a 2.43 FIP and 0.84 WHIP against righties, compared to a 4.25 FIP and and 1.55 WHIP against lefties. This season, Wood has feasted on RHP, hitting .279 with a .934 OPS and 158 wRC+. He’s been even better on the road against RHP, with a 183 wRC+. Wood should be able to secure at least 1 base-knock today. If that hit happens to drive in a run, or if a teammate is able to push Wood home, that’s all it will take to cash this wager.

Riley Greene OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145, DraftKings)

Opposing pitcher Dean Kremer has struggled to a 4.63 FIP and 1.58 WHIP against lefties this season. Tonight, he will have to contend with Greene, who has demolished RHP this season to the tune of a .304 batting average, .904 OPS, and 154 wRC+. It only helps Greene that the temperature in Baltimore is forecasted to be in the mid-90s around first pitch – extremely favorable hitting conditions. He should have a great chance to make a positive impact at the plate in this spot.

Jonathan India UNDER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-115, bet365)

Send this pick directly to your bet slip!PLACE THIS BET ONBET365

India hasn’t been very good against RHP this season, struggling to a .235 batting average, .633 OPS, and 79 wRC+. Tonight, he has a tough matchup against Will Warren, who owns a 1.99 FIP and 1.08 WHIP against righties this season. Given that India probably will also have a pair of righties hitting behind him in the lineup, his chances of scoring a run don’t appear particularly likely. The under may have some value here.
