Happy Tuesday! All 30 MLB teams are scheduled to be in action tonight, which means plenty of betting opportunities on the board for baseball fans everywhere!

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Tuesday, August 12th!

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, August 12

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Tuesday, August 12th:

Michael Wacha OVER 4.5 Hits Allowed (-150, DraftKings)

Place this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Entering play on Tuesday, Wacha has allowed 4 hits or fewer in 5 of his last 6 turns through the rotation. However, it’s worth noting that he’s benefited from a likely unsustainable .196 BABIP during that stretch, something that’s even more improbable given that he’s allowed more line drives than the league-average pitcher since the beginning of July.

Tonight, it’s possible that Wacha could see an extended leash, with Kansas City’s bullpen extremely taxed at the moment. Washington’s offense hasn’t been great in recent weeks, but they own a respectable .252 batting average against RHP during the last 14 days and have 7 left-handed hitters in their lineup today. Wacha could pitch well here but still end up allowing 5+ hits.

Matthew Liberatore OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (+130, bet365)

Place this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONBET365

Liberatore hasn’t recorded an out in the 6th inning of a game since June 29, but that could change tonight. Despite not working deep into games recently, he’s still routinely been left on the bump long enough to throw 70+ pitches, including an 85-pitch performance against the Padres on August 1. The problem has been how ineffective he’s been, posting a 5.23 ERA, 6.49 FIP, and 1.89 WHIP since the beginning of July.

The good news is that Liberatore gets a favorable matchup against the Rockies, which is an offense that ranks 20th with an 83 wRC+ during the last 30 days. During that time, Colorado has been one of the league’s most aggressive offenses against southpaws, with a 51.1% swing rate. Liberatore has been reasonably efficient of late, despite his struggles, averaging 3.85 pitches per batter faced. If he can limit the damage done against him this evening, he could have a chance to work relatively deep into this ballgame.

Pete Crow-Armstrong OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-118, BetMGM)

Place this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONBETMGM

Crow-Armstrong has crushed RHP in 2025, hitting .290 with a 152 wRC+. This evening, he will get to face Jose Berrios, who has struggled to a 1.51 WHIP across the platoon this season. Crow-Armstrong is hitting in the 5-hole, sandwiched between Carson Kelly and Ian Happ – both of whom have been seeing the ball well in August. He should find himself in at least one or two spots to accrue some counting stats on Tuesday.
