The Angels and Twins both rank 26th or worse in strikeout percentage against left-handed pitching during the month of May, but the Rangers are 10th in that metric. Entering play on Tuesday, the Seattle Mariners rank 25th in strikeout percentage against left-handed pitching this month, which makes them among the most favorable matchups in the league for Cortes this evening. Combining Seattle’s swing-and-miss tendencies with the fact that the New York Yankees pitching staff could use some length from their starting pitcher – this is a worthwhile mini-ladder opportunity for bettors tonight.
